I have to agree with this article, I mean take a look at image 1.jpg, the fire damage to this area of the building appears reminiscent of a simple office fire most probably caused by someone ashing in a garbage can which is why smoking should just be illegal. Image 2.jpg shows the "pentagon" lawn just hours after the crash, I don't see any debris from a plane... suspicious? I think it's clear. Image 3.jpg shows that the fire-fighters are clearly trying to cover up the evidence of a simple office fire by spraying the entire scene with some liquid developed by the government to not only put out fires but destroy evidence. Do you see what's happening to your tax dollars? Finally in image 4.jpg look at the monkey! look at the silly monkey!

I have an appointment to get mine out on May 17th. They recently started making my jaw a little sore so I'm nipping this in the bud. I only have three, but my dentist says, "Your teeth have the longest roots I've seen in my career, and your wisdom teeth are no exception, so the extraction may be... interesting." I don't know how common being out for the process is, but I definitely have no plans of being awake for that.

What did you learn late in life that made you feel like a fool?

until I was probably 4 or 5 I thought more planes/trains crashed than actually made it to their destination cause I was never around them and that's all that ever made the news. /eta: I suppose 4 or 5 isn't late in life, but what are you going to do? sometimes threads go astray... -
Just when I thought this thread couldn't get any more pointless and lame, sneaky starts dropping the random cheap movie quotes... ...AND TOTALLY BRINGS THE THREAD BACK TO LIFE!!!

yeah, and the first 10 seconds of the green light until someone honks at you.

oh just pick static-line and stop getting so picky

um, 48... The hardest part was getting it to actually accept delaware, I apparently kept dropping it in atlantic ocean. /edited to add: there was something like this a while ago floating around with north african/middle eastern countries that was a bit harder. I think I only got about 2/3rds of those right.

I definitely like the two-anchor weekend update, Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey are pretty good but Fallon laughs too much. Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin did it beautifully "Jane you ignorant slut..."

Heh, yeah I didn't take that pic. Pretty much anything over the speed limit (especially that fast) is a two hands on the wheel, both eyes on the road kinda situation* That particular picture was on somewhat of a closed course as well. Taken on a well-paved vacant county road between corn fields (that were cut down at the time) that we pre-drove checking for holes, dips, debris, etc. *this is not to suggest at other speeds you can just read a book while you're driving, but honeslty, how many people have their hands at 10 and 2 all the way to work?

Does anyone think getting some of those little yard flags like they use to mark buried utility lines and placing them near the larger offending holes would help at all? Or would that just tweak people out that are trying to set up their landing pattern?

I am a Champaign girl... Champaign? or Champagne? I'm confused...

it's like trying to keep your whiteboard cock-free during it's first month or so in a college dorm... ...it's simply impossible.

There's only been one time I can remember that someone tore ass and cracking the door for a few seconds didn't solve the problem, and it was the DZO so we all just had to deal with it.

you people getting ChemE degrees are out of your minds... Geez and people think I'm nuts... I'm finishing up my 4th year at the University of Illinois. In May I'll have my BS in Electrical Engineering with a minor in CompSci. I'm going to start working right away, but I'll also be starting on my Masters in Electrical Engineering at the Universtiy of SoCal in the fall, focusing on Comm Systems/Signal Processing. Conundrum: I don't know much about graphics, but I know enough to appreciate the chess board

not sure what you mean by ABC client, but I use this one Speed is kinda weird when it comes to bit torrent, it's all in how bittorrent actually distributes files. If a torrent is relatively new and a lot of people are on it, you can get good speed, most people are pretty good about leaving the torrent open for a little while to make sure others can finish. But after some time passes they all kinda fizzle and leave some people with incomplete downloads. If a bunch of people sit around with incomplete downloads you'll all just slowly download from each other and never finish the file. The key, I suppose, is just being able to get on torrents while they are on the upswing.

Racism in "The Apprentice?" Shock at who claims it.

I actually haven't seen this show, and judging by most of the anecdotes here I don't think I want to. Unfortunately what's popular (profitable) and what one might call "worth a shit" aren't always in line. In the mean time I'll stick to my History Channel -
If you think about it, there's just no point in trying to "cover up" something. Espectially since it was just an honest mistake. It's going to take the contruction guys all of 5 minutes to fix up the hand print. And as you saw, your boss just got a good laugh out of it.
