  2. After hanging around in the forums I have finally realized one thing I was obviously missing in the past: that the U S of A is the biggest & the best nation on this lousy planet, it’s citizens are top-notch in human evolution, everything origination from the U.S. is unequaled, nobody does things better than your nation blahblahblah.... everybody who dares to question this attitude (especially if he/she is not a U.S. citizen) is shouted at, flamed, called with names or put down/attacked in some other way maybe some of the posters on dz.com should realize one thing: this place isn't run exclusively for U.S.-people and the opinions/thoughts of others are by no way inferior & definitely worth a closer look /rant & vent over/ The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  10. that is certainly an attitude i have never come across as long as (the majority of) skydivers refers to non-jumpers as whuffos most of the time & as long as almost everybody is bragging about how great a community "we" are i'm not at all surprised if skydivers leave this impression sure - it's a great sport sure - you meet great people out there but – being a skydiver doesn't make you a better person if you are a jerk you remain a jerk. even as a skydiver The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  18. what aggiedave said: sure you can catch up with faster fallers - but are you able to take a secure grip, make a turn and re-grip again? sure you can float as hell - but can you take a grip..... from my own experience: i wanted to make a very simple two-way (relative) with a friend. she's a good head shorter than me, but weighs more or less the same. is was flying as fast as i could & we were flying the same level. but it was impossible for me to do the things we wanted to, cause i was at the end of my scale. next jump i took weights - no problem afterwards. so taking weights doesn't mean that your flying abilities are poor. they are here to give you some sort of extension of your range edit 4 spell The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

  22. things are definitely different here (europe/austria) imho knowing how to pack a parachute _is_ a must know/survival skill tandem masters haul passengers to make cash schools haul students to do the same? (of course i know that any dz benefits if the scholl has a lot of students. but i feel that something valuable is lost if you walk on _this_ way) i'm curious about numbers - got any statistics? when we train students how to pack, they need to get their packing-card signed off (this is either done by a teacher or a coach). forgot one check? start over. and most of our students become proficient really quick, no matter what they pack some of them can handle slippery zp better than me i know i don't have to be a computer expert to write this post. i know i don't have to be a mechanic to drive a car. but i bet that most of the students that don't care about learning how to pack know much more how to fix a computer or a car or a motorbike ... reads like: it's a money thing what get's my nerve is this consumer-attitude. "no, i don't have to do xxxx because i can pay xxxx to do it for me" reads like "i have a right to remain ignorant" edit to ad: this is not mennt to be offensive to you. it is meant to critizise an attitude The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666
  23. that's one of the few things i still don't get - that it is _not_ common for u.s. students to learn to pack their chute starting with jump # 1 imho learning how to pack is one of the basics of skydiving and every student should be more than eager to do it. having made 25 jumps without even packing once is ridiculous what would you do if you came to a dz without a packer? make one jump and then? skydiving is a sport that puts great emphasis on being responsible for yourself. start with learning how to pack & don't rely on others The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

    Juggling

that's a pretty good start. but to get the timing right, i'd fit this step right here: take two balls throw the first just as the first reaches the hand of the second - let go of it and drop it (either to the floor or to the bed as quade suggested) this makes it easier to determine the exact moment when to throw the second ball repeat as necessary if you have the feeling (or at least think you do so) - go one step further - instead of dropping ball # 2 - throw it and catch it with the first congratulations - you are handling two balls (with your hands out of your trousers ) then countinue with step two from quade. good luck!
