my intention was not to bash low-time "camera"-jumpers. heck - according to my jump-numbers and to the opinions in these forums it shouldn't be my business at all (so what do i know?) i started flying with tandems really early and only after being encouraged by the TI's of our dz. it was a long way, i proceeded slowly, learned a lot and made my first videos last year. and i still have tons of things to learn from my understanding the original poster has problems finding the right angle - to me that reads like he didn't do his homework = learn to fly his slot without thinking. that's why i thought that a wingsuit might not be a brilliant idea as a sidenote: i think that wide angle lenses make a novice vidiot fly much closer to a tandem than comfort-level. but once you have handled that, they make nice pics The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

from my limited experience as a vidiot: hint 1: try flying with a tandem without a camera on your head - this helps you to get a feel of what a tandem can/will do in freefall and how you can or have to deal with it. hint 2: if you are comfortable with fall rates proceed to fly closer still keeping level. 2-3 feet distance should give you a good distance for capturing the face of the pax on film hint 3: NEVER fly ove a tandem and never fall under them - you wouldn't want to suck them down, would you? hint 4: once you've managed these 3 tasks try again with a camera on your helmet. if you still don't get the shots you want - well there's tons of time and jumps ahead of you to get it right ps: and look out for the thead on what can and will go wrong when jumping camera The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

i thnk it is utter BS to make a yes or no poll about the future constitution of the EU and don't tell me you (or all the other voters in france or whereever the next poll will be) read the whole text and understood it in its full depth. all the pro's & con's discussed are just the convenient parts that fit into the agenda of either side... like it or not – from my understanding this whole european union thing has one purpose: forming a single body to be a counterpart to the other major players (be it in military or economy). i think the idea of what a united europe could be, if the people living here only dared to have a vision, was sabotaged as a sidenote. imagine the first states of the u.s. making a referendum about their constitution and one of them had rejected.... when i coach students i ususally tend to learn them fly all the standards in a 2-way "no contact". reason for this: once they take a grip they tend to get lazy, make short legs and slip out of the sequence once grips are released i.e. don't stop flying when taking a grip. this also teaches them how to keep a constant fall-rate. in fact i like no-contact rw

you said that you were drunk when posting - so i will refrain from all the nasty things that popped into my mind if you define safe by the numbers of incidents posted on this website: rest assured that there's a lot more going on in the real world . many incidents (minor to major) don't get posted cause lots of people don't care about this website or put even more simply - cause they don't feel the need to let selfannounced i-know-it-all-because-i-have-been-there-and-done-experts trample on already beat up and injured people who made the experience that this sport will harm you (or one of your friends) sooner or later..... so much for participating in a "safe" sport end of rant/stay safe & uninjured

# 1 - never had problems wwith landings, but that doesn't mean i have to do a stand up on every landing. if i have to i know how to do a PLF it's more embarrasing to get carried away on a stretcher than walking away with a dirty suit ...
