I've never really wanted to help people on a professional level. It's really surprised me how much I come to care for these teens even though I only spend a few hours with them. I guess I've discovered a new side of myself. I have also thought about going to school for socialogy thanks to this job. I took on a 2nd job as a juvenile transport backup agent a couple months ago. In other words if a teen gets in a enough trouble they are sent to a bording school or bootcamp and the agency I work for is hired to escort the teen. When I get a case this means I'll be meeting another agent at LAX at 2 or 3 in the morning. Since its a 40 minute drive for me and accounting for time to shit, shower, and shave I'm getting up as early as 12:30 am. Also the night before I have to pick up a rental car for the case after I get off my fulltime job. So IF I'm able to go to sleep early I'm getting a max of 5 hours sleep. I had two cases in the last two days and only 6 hours of sleep total. A typical "day" is 6 or 7 hours of work afterwhich I goto my fulltime job and work another 9 hours. So work entails... -Meet Lead agent at airport. -travel to child's home -wake child up -convince child to cooperate and come along quietly -travel back to airport -wait for the child's and lead agent's plane to take off. -notify parent/s -return rental car Seems pretty boring when I list it like that but boring is what we want. Every child wants to fight or flight and our verbal judo skills are extremely important. ?These kids are not stupid and many times they want to put us at ease to look for an opportunity. Also many of them have disorders requiring medication and are known to be violent. Sometimes we get files that state the juvenile is a gang banger and may be armed. If that's the case then we get physical from the get go to get the cuffs on them so they don't harm us or themselves. This job is fun as hell and everytime I feel like we're on a mission to retrieve a package and then deliver said package unharmed. Except this package has fists, feet, and a mouth and doesn't want to go with us. The lack of sleep is worth it! www.FourWheelerHB.com

Can it scale? Only LS9 Inc. really knows. It does seem they are full speed ahead considering they're building a production facility due to open in 2011 which is promising. That's just it. Thanks to the price of gas people are looking into ways to use less. Its already happening. Hell...Chevy is starting production on the Volt next year. Prius sales are through the roof. Smart cars are selling with a premium. People are practically giving away their trucks. Acmeskydiver is looking for a cheaper way to get to the gym. More efficient engines are in development. Solutions are coming but it won't be in the form of one magnificent breakthrough but in the form of many different small ones.
