This may be a bit personal but I'm curious. Feel free not to answer. Why can't you stand on on a scale without holding on to something? If its due to a disability or injury then you definitely need to see a doctor, nutritionist, AND trainer. To build muscle mass, while diet is important, so is the way in which you work out. Muscles need about 3 days to repair so body builders will do two specific muscle groups a day. Back and biceps one day. Chest and triceps the next. Then shoulders and legs. 4th day is rest. Then start over. Fastest way to build muscle mass is to use heavy weight (for you), low reps, making sure your last rep requires a spot. Using this method with a proper diet and supplements you should be able to put on 20-30 pounds of muscle in 12 months or less. However you need to have a trainer teach you how to do it and hopefully find a partner otherwise you can injure yourself severely. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Martial arts training 4 nights a week. This week: Monday - No gui night. 2 minute rounds grappling with instructor (3rd degree black belt) trying not to get submitted. Beginning to recognize everything he is doing and attempting a counter. During "break" one minute of throwing/dumping a 75 pound heavy punching bag, one minute of crunches. Wash, rinse, repeat for an hour. Tuesday - Gui night. 30 minutes of cardio and bag work. 30 minutes practicing clinch and take down techniques. After class, four two minute rounds of fists only sparring wearing 16 ounce boxing gloves with the 3rd degree black belt. Wednesday - No gui night. 15 minutes of cardio. 30 minutes of learning/practicing clinch to hip toss technique. 15 minutes of freestyle grappling from the knees. After class, two two minute rounds of fists only sparring with 3rd degree black belt. Thursday - More abuse and ass beatings I'm sure. Since I started training I've gained 10 pounds. Personally I do not admit this much but I am a serious patriot. I grew up a military brat and then joined the military myself when I was 18. I absolutely love this country and all that its stands for. So much so I get choked up when I hear the Star Spangled Banner. Why do I not admit it much? Because I don't need to prove to anyone what truly lies in my heart. I don't need to wear a pin or put a yellow thingy on my car or have a flag hanging on the front of my house.
