  1. I am a beaner/white trash combo so I know how to use a knife and a gun. I can also cook tortillas and make white gravy!
  2. Holy fucking shit, that looked so cool! All I can say is, lucky bastard not only for surviving but for getting one helluva ride!
  3. To the original poster (sorry, I don’t know your name, it’s not in your profile): There is an abundance of disagreement in this thread with your choice to fly this parachute at your experience level and a lot of concern might come across as belittling or criticism that might seem like you are being attacked. That is/was not my intention anyway. Even though you have experience as an aircraft pilot as your profile indicates it is not the same as piloting a canopy, at least this is what I understand by the experienced aircraft pilots that I have trained in skydiving. Having experience as an aircraft pilot may put you ahead of the curve to the average canopy pilot with 65 jumps but still raises concern for your safety by many skydivers as this thread of communication has revealed. Please consider flying a more forgiving canopy and fly a little more conservative until you gain more experience under parachutes. We are simply concerned for your safety, that is all… Mykel AFF-I10 Skydiving Priorities: 1) Open Canopy. 2) Land Safely. 3) Don’t hurt anyone. 4) Repeat…
  4. This just might be the most ingenious piece of literary composition that I have ever read on DZ.com... If this thread was started by a troll this post made it worth it! Well put Kevin!
  5. This says it all... But just in case no one has told'em: The Crossfire is not a parachute that is intended for someone with low jump numbers to fly. It is recommended by Icarus to have a MINIMUM of 500 skydives before you begin to pilot the Crossfire. Now you can not say nobody warned you… I was under the impression that the CSPA and DZ's in the Ontario area were pretty stringent concerning HP canopies and pilots being qualified to fly certain wings, guess I have been misinformed. At any rate, good luck with that 65 jump/Crossfire combination. Mykel AFF-I10 Skydiving Priorities: 1) Open Canopy. 2) Land Safely. 3) Don’t hurt anyone. 4) Repeat…
  6. I am curious if he got a pin check before exit? I have seen some heavy contact funneled exits before and never have I seen a dislodged pin before - was wondering is perhaps his pin was not fully seated to begin with or maybe his closing loop was not tight enough? Just wonderin'... Mykel AFF-I10 Skydiving Priorities: 1) Open Canopy. 2) Land Safely. 3) Don’t hurt anyone. 4) Repeat…
  7. This was my first thought when I read this post. Before I make any other comments I will just wait to see if these are the facts... Mykel AFF-I10 Skydiving Priorities: 1) Open Canopy. 2) Land Safely. 3) Don’t hurt anyone. 4) Repeat…
  8. Fire the reserve? Into the mess? Either we are having communication problems or you are not quite clear as to how to correctly deal with a horseshore malfunction. Hell, I am confused by this one, exactly what is meant by a horseshoe attached to the other guy? everything is out but the PC is connected to the other persons body?

  10. A solo Mr. Bill? Good for a skitzo with 2 personalities... For more personalities? A solo 10 stack...
  11. I think this should be worded differently, something like this: I was on a jump where a very low pull of the main caused the AAD to fire, resulting in a downplane situation that was not dealt with properly killing the skydiver on impact Wording the statement like this places the blame on the operator, not the computer that was functioning within its designed parameters. The skydiver made two huge mistakes resulting in their death. _ Mykel AFF-I10 Skydiving Priorities: 1) Open Canopy. 2) Land Safely. 3) Don’t hurt anyone. 4) Repeat…
  12. Sounds like a really great time, until something goes terribly wrong! Isn't skydiving thrilling enough without doing stupid shit? If it were my sister, friend of just someone on the internet I have never met before, I would advise against it. Then freewill takes over... 13. Happy sky-birthday! I just had mine recently, got to sit and watch it rain... Enjoy!
  14. There's a mechanism for that? Yes. In live radio broadcast there is a built in 5 second delay, this gives them time to beep out anything that might be said on live radio that is not supposed to be. Now incorporate the same line of thinking, take a delay before the thoughts in your brain turn into words leaving your mouth. It might take only a 5 second delay, in my case it is more like a 5 hour, 5 day or maybe even a 5 year delay...

  16. Call the DZ you will be jumping at and ask them. Listen to your instructors and no one else.
  17. You are already getting confusing information, you rinstructors will tell you everything you need to know... Listen to your instructors and no one else. And oh yeah, Listen to your instructors and no one else.
  18. Listen to your instructors and no one else. So yourself a favor, don't read any advice here until after your jump tomorrow. Listen to your instructors and no one else. 20. If you are sensitive about making fun of the mentally challenged you might not appreciate the humor in this movie. You really can choose to not be sensitive about it – people say stupid things especially when they don’t understand something, no need to get upset, just let it roll off of you. I used to be sensitive when others would make fun of my obese sister but it doesn’t bother me anymore because I choose to not let get to me and I have acquired some inner peace where there was once contempt. So it benefited me greatly. Sticks and stones... And besides, I am pretty guilty of making fun of just about everything in life and I have never meant to intentionally hurt someone by some of the stupid comments I have made and I really try to watch my mouth these days because I have said hurtful things before, I try to keep in mind that there is a time and place for everything. Try to enjoy the flick although it is not the funniest comedy I have ever seen, as far as good movies it has a lot to be desired (IMHO)… Brian Cox is in it if you like him and the chick is pretty hot...
