  1. I should be at Elsinore on Saturday. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  2. Agreed. The Great Wall was my favorite place in that part of the country. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  3. I know someone with 2000+ jumps and no cutaways. I'm hoping to reach that some day. No cutaways in 840 jumps for me. On the other hand, I go into each jump thinking "this is going to be the one I have to cut away on." There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  4. Since you're actually causing pain to the child, I feel that you should wait until the child can decide for him/her self. That doesn't mean they should be 18 or older to make this decision, though. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  5. 1) John Brahser. He reminded me on most jumps that his #1 rule was "Don't scare the jumpmaster." I also vividly remember my hop-n-pop because John followed me out and had a malfunction (I couldn't figure out why he opened so low). 2) Larry Wolfe. After I fought for an hour on my first pack job, I asked Larry what I needed to do to get signed off. He said "Jump it, and if it opens, I'll sign you off." That's the only jump I've ever been aprehensive on. Thanks guys! There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  6. Got out at 1500 feet when I had about 50 jumps. Cloud cover prevented us from getting higher, and because the instructors were going, I went too. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  7. After having some problems on AFF 2, my fiancee' spent 10 minutes in the tunnel, and greatly improved her flying. I'm sure it saved her (me) from paying for extra AFF jumps. I'd definitely recommend it. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  8. How many Microsoft programmers does it take to change a light bulb? None, they just declare darkness the new standard. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  9. My view is that if the significant other won't let me do something I dearly love, then she's not the one for me. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  10. I like #1 better, but I voted for #2. I would stay away from the bright/light colors like white. It'll just look dirty after a while. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  11. I have bowled in professional tournaments, and I've bowled 2 perfect games in competition. The spelling of my first name was accidentally changed when I was adopted by my "2nd mother". My father didn't know it until I pointed it out to him last year. (o.k., one extra:) I shot a gun hundreds of times in my junior high. We had a gun range in the basement, and in high school, you could letter on the rifle team. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  12. I also have those awesome feelings every day. What amazes me is that after 800+ jumps, I still think skydiving is the best thing before/since sliced bread. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  13. None yet (knock on wood). 830 jumps so far. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  14. If I could toot my own horn, I'd never leave the house. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  15. I've had an Oxygn A3 for 4-5 years now, and I have no complaints. My fiancee' is looking for a helmet, and I'm suggesting that she get the Z1 because it closes tighter. She wears contacts and is worried about getting stuff in her eyes in freefall. My Oxygn lets in a fair amount of wind which prevents most fogging, but can cause problems for contact lens wearers (IMHO). There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  16. One thing you did RIGHT that people should note: On deployment, have your rear risers in hand as soon as possible, and be ready to turn if needed to avoid a collision. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...

    Dating a Lie

I WAS engaged to someone like that. She made herself out to be someone that worked in a technical capacity (she was a glorified administrative assistant). She said she had her money, car, and condo from her work and investments. She got most (all) of it from her ex-husband. When the lies started unraveling, the engagement ended, and I never looked back. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  19. The guy that delivered the hit(s) should be treated like a criminal. He said he didn't mean to hurt the guy. What the h*ll did he think was going to happen when he sucker-punched someone and then used his weight to drive the guys face into the ice. He should be suspended from the league at least as long as his "victim" is out. Fighting goes on in American hockey because that's what the fans like. European and international hockey is on bigger ice, with more skating and less hitting. The NHL is looking at bankruptcy in a couple of years, so this may all be a moot point. 20. One day when I forgot my wrist-mount altimeter, I realized that I usually only look at it on the plane ride up. Otherwise, yes, I'm pretty much Dytter dependent. That being said, I'm always jumping with groups, and use them as my backup for breakoffs. I also recently realized that just before the "pull" signal of my Dytter goes off, I'm already waving off, and reaching for the pilot chute. If I were on a solo jump, would I look at my altimeter? Yes. There are battered women? I've been eating 'em plain all of these years...
  21. Your post should apply to both students and experienced jumpers alike. If you're not comfortable with making the jump, go ahead and ride the plane down. Although some people disagree, I apply this to spotting as well. (With the green light on) If I look out the door and don't think the spot is O.K., I'll wait to go. If the pilot wants to talk to me about it on the ground, then so be it. That being said, on the rare occasion when I've waited to go, I've never been talked to. Yes, everyone else in the plane is yelling to go, but they have no idea where we are -- they just see the light. Just my .02. There are battered women? 22. Personally, I don't like big boobies. B or C cup is enough. I prefer real ones to fake ones, but I won't complain about touching either kind.
  23. I didn't know anyone in the sport, and none of my friends had the balls to try it, so I went by myself. Now I have a whole bunch of new friends.
  24. With all the news on TV lately about the sub zero weather and snow that's been battering Connecticut, New York and the rest of the East Coast, we shouldn't forget that Southern California also gets its share of devastating weather. I've attached a photo illustrating the excessive damage caused to a home from a rainstorm that whipped through the Los Angeles area not long ago. It really makes you appreciate what we have, and reminds us not to take it for granted! (the attached picture is a bit graphic and may not be suitable for the squeamish) There are battered women? 25. With 800+ jumps, I find little or nothing that I can learn in a solo. It's not that I know everything when it comes to skydiving, it's just that for most things I want to work on, I need at least one other person out there with me. There are battered women?
