Why not? Only thing you have to do in the landing area that keep your eyes open and watch for traffic.

How about this? I had a Pilot 150. I use to release fronts from 90 degrees about 4 sec before I would hit the ground. It was a nice ground rush.
-
Thanks! I have seen it before.
-
Stop posting paragliding sh1t! Those are not skydiving canopies....
-
There are rubber bands on that d-bag too.

Simple! Do _not_ feed the troll! -
Forget about the spinletto and go for the Sabre2. There are lots of Stilettos for sale. There should be a reason...
-
I'd rather demo a safire2 169, Sabre2 170 or a Cobalt 170. I think all you need is predictable opening, decent recovery arc and moderate front riser pressure.
-
AFAIK they drop cargo and not people. A human might not survive that deceleration.
-
So ? Have I stated in my first post? I still don't get what you did want to say.
-
I use to pack lot of student gear. I got less skip problem after using a power tool instead of a pull-up cord.
-
You are welcome! Last time Ive boosted from 40% to ~98% during the night. Ive jumped that packjob on the next day. I would not pack a new canopy on PVC or wooden floor either. Having a small thin carpet under the canopy on bagging is a big help.
-
from Atair`s web site: I do it so. It give nice openings.
-
I have a spare PC and another with d-bag. I can replace it if it starts hesitating.
-
I think our 'dorky engineer' should check previous unsuccessful designs for learn from them and try not to re-invent them. I still don't get what is wrong with the slider?
-
I have a feeling that some people quote others because they don't have own ideas. What did you want to say?
-
Sure they were. The slider was not the first try, but it turns out the most reliable and foolproof. Why do you want to fix something not broken?
-
First of all its not my problem. I still remember how hard my new canopy was to be packed years ago. Is it packing in humid environment easier? So why not answering for that? Try to give him practical advices
-
The only way to get consistent opening is consistent packing. BTW: I have tried to roll a brand new canopy. It sucked as much as folding it.
-
Why cant you master one single packing method and do it consistently?
-
Try to get and use a humidifier. That would help.
-
Try to contact cobaltdan here or Stane from http://basetroll.com/about_us.html.

How come that you may listen to him? Just for you: If a rigger says not airworthy means RED. So do not buy unless you need a car cover or something similar. It has nothing to do with WL or the skill of its user.
-
First of all it has some economical impact. A canopy with 1000 jumps is hard to re-sell on a decent price. IMHO its the best to buy a canopy with 150-300 jumps. Just compare prices with new and wear should not be significant and you might have a chance to take some money out when you don't need it anymore. See? It has nothing to do with WL. I've bought a Triathlon with ~600 jump. I have not jumped yet, its winter here. I jumped some old Navigators with unknown number of jumps. Its not just about the number of jumps. Place where you jump, land, pack does matter. WL does not tell too much. Canopy size does matter, my friend.
-
Sure. WL is defined as wing area / suspended weight. AFAIK wings of airplanes do not change porosity. A ZP canopy can have its porosity for even 2000 jumps....
