  1. Read the safety report, failure is depending the installation configuration.
  2. Sure, it was advertised. He was not a beginner, so he should have known what he was doing: gathering speed for landing....
  3. Where is that 86% coming from? Do you know in what configuration was the cutter installed? You can have a total reserve malfunction if the cutter is installed on the top of the reserve PC and it's failing to make both cuts clean.
  4. CYPRES firing parameters are and were known. What can you expect if you use your safety device outside the operating window? Darwin award, maybe...
  5. Do you really want to use FXC on the main? You should inspect/calibrate FXC with an altitude chamber after every activation. You need an FXC as much as an extra belly mount reserve.
  6. AFAIK there were some idiots swooping though the activation parameters and surprise their CYPRES fired...
  7. By all means. If I need any kind of advice you are going to be the first person I ask.
  8. I use Neptune version 3.0+ and it works. Lights stays on. I don't use alarms at all.
  9. I got several night jumps with my Neptune without any issues. I don't use any alarms with that.
  10. There are cases when you don't pull the silver.
  11. Please inform Airtec GmbH about it. It's CYPRES with ALLCAPS from http://www.cypres.cc/ .
  12. At least in Finland you tip the reserve packer after a save, usually with a drink of his/her.
  13. He got no wings and forward speed either. Ask BASE jumpers if they want to land without a canopy. -Morron? Ask skydivers if than want to land a wing suite without a canopy. -Cool????
  14. That's a oxymoron. Something is perfect if ond only if it does not have bad issues......
  15. And I knew a guy that rode a reserve baglock for the rest of his life.... Reserve's can and do malfunction. Than rather land a ball of sh1t, when you have a potentially good canopy on stand-by?
  16. And you answer is here: and Buy your great canopy and be happy!
  17. Tell me a reason why you can't have your blog about formula1 cars....... That is just a Wingsuit Blog and quite boring.
  18. You have a reserve for a good reason. You don't have to land any ball of sh1t. But reserves also malfunction. Landing a canopy on the rears is a useful skill to have and can avoid the need to use your last chance to live. Better to be safe than sorry. None would question why have you cut that mess away. I'm not a test pilot and I don't do mid-air rigging either, if I have any doubt I go for plan B. I wouldn't jump if I don't trust my reserve.
  19. You have a reserve for a good reason. You don't have to land any ball of sh1t.
  20. I'd rather call it Stealth, you can disappear in the earth background....
  21. Negative? This event was from Thursday to Sunday, competition until Saturday evening. There was some rain on Friday. As long the competition was going people was busy competing there, after Saturday night they were having a hangover after the party or just leaving. We got only 2 flights with Alex. C'mon Gabi, you can make all your competition jumps for one day... So, you have 3 more jumping days for fun
  22. Ah, so you are the one who jumps construction boots with steel reinforcement? Sneakers would not be right with your reasoning.
