  1. How about checking the chapter how to make a flat trimmed canopy dive? ??? Sequentially. 1/4-1/3 breaks and release, grip front risers and hang on them....
  2. Hm. I pay 20 Euros after 6 months.
  3. You can wonder where is that advice coming from.... That's from the book that you've suggested.
  4. Like I have to get my 15 years old harness and container, reserve got inspected every year, packing cycle is 6 months here.
  5. Front riser turns are not crime . How do you know that you canopy don't dive? What do you really expect from a really flat trimmed canopy from like Pilot? How long can you hang on the front risers? Try to start doing double front risers from brake surge: -"Mark" you altitude. -Pull you breakes to shoulder level from full flight and release it at one. -Pull down and keep both of your front risers down for 4-6 seconds and releas them slow and gently. -Check your altitude. How much altitude have you lost? Was your canopy diving? Reading Brian Germain`s book: Canopy and its Pilot and a digital altimeter could be helpful.
  6. Neptune + L&B Optima. Optima has even glide indication. Wave is more expensive.
  7. It can have a riggers approved seal. Don't worry, if I ever go there I'm not carrying a heavy car batter with myself. Specially not after these kindda threats.
  8. We use plastic cans fill with sand as packing weight. Ist quite interesing that none is interested what was in those before, acid could be there to before too. If its not used around your gear why do you bother?
  9. Most modern student rigs are 9-cell hibrid, like PD-Navigator.
  10. I can not see anything wrong using car battery as packing weight if its clean inside/outside and empty: no acid inside in its cleaned and washed.
  11. It depends. You may make it cheaper, but if you just want to have them?
  12. Packing technique is like religion. You have to have faith in and you a spread it too. :)
  13. Removeable Deploment System used by pro-swoopers. You can remove PC, D-bag, slider after opening.
  14. I have most wear on the center locking stows. Thanks for all I made some, but I still can pull them open. BTW what glue can be used on silicone? Fast glue is to rigid :(.
  15. Im sorry It was incomplete. A PC is folded in a small spandex pocket which has a static line and that is connected to the plane. The instructor is holding that pocket close to the students head on exit. Thats all I saw.
  16. First of all if its IAD you PC is not in BOC or either ROL pocket. Its in a special packet static line to the plane. I have seen it packed by the instructor anyway. So what do you wanna know? Its nothing like a static line jump, just you have a normal throw-out PC instead of the psring loaded PC. Don't worry, relax, its working just fine.
  17. They might work together if manucaturers would produce an RF-receiver earplug for audible.
  18. I have to replace them quite often.
