  1. Any curve can be the last if you ride a bike. You don't know what is the outcome of the jump when you are boarding the plane. It can happen to you or anyone.
  2. There are packets on the Impact where you can put protective pads.
  3. Interesting article. I've found that escape way to get my rig on the most convenient.
  4. More respect for the invalids! Notice that you are just 1 jump away from the wheelchair.
  5. Packing is a religion. You should have your way. You should have faith in and you should even spread it. Dogma: "Your canopy is getting out from the D-bag as organized as you put it in." S-fold is an organized way to get the canopy into the D-bag. Even a simple mind can understand that. And there is pycho-packing. Having a temporary half twist, folding the side in front of the nose and roll the canopy into the bag. It looks even a bit more difficult, not everyone believes in that. Do you know how the break-chutes (for airplanes) are packed? They are squeezed in with a help of some tool.
  6. Was it a terminal or subterminal opening you are talking about?
  7. Thats useless. A trooper does not jump/fly naked. Weapon? Backpack? A high glide(1:9-1:11) canopy is much better option, e.i. freefall deployable glider.
  8. You can not have a sharp vision because of the high wind speed.
  9. Are you planing to use your new canopy for 20 years? You are going to sell it in 2 years for sure.
  10. I've heard the same about neon(yellow, orange, green) colors.
  11. You don't have to play Hudini in skydiving.
  12. Imagine a student program with 38 levels to complete getting a C(non-student) license. You may graduate in 40-50 jumps. Basics of CC covers mostly what is a landing pattern and how to set it up and land into the wind. 2nd part of the program is about freefall skills. You may not squeeze more CC there. That's it.
  13. I don't agree. You can get the basics on a FFC/student progression. "Land in the wind, Don't turn low" Most Ex-students (I've seen) not interested in having some jumps on canopy control, 1000m jumps are not cool and just waste of time and money. Landing accuracy and flat-turn are not as cool as FS or FF jumps. But at least we should learn from our mistakes.
  14. You have a safe canopy which is trimmed quite flat. I have the same.
  15. It depends. You might correct with some sink/S-turns....
  16. Thanks for your answer! I don't think so. I can hear the difference. My canopy is quite loud after 4-6 sec of double fronts, but silent after a nice, slow, 90degrees carving turn. Too long or too short? That's a good question. I can fly as long in the deepest breaks as I want to, I can not stall with toggles.
  17. I fly a Pilot ~ WL 1.4. I did only double front riser landing so far. Its quite hard to bring my canopy to dive, because front riser pressure is quite high. I've heard/read that slow carving front riser carve is better/more efficient that an aggressive one. I've tried slow 90 degress turn at high, it does not speed up at all. Any ideas?
  18. Euros in UK? Have I missed something?
  19. Half Price ? Where? Phoenix-Fly Stinger 200E - webpage Z1 - Parasale.com 253 E
  20. I have a Z1, I'm using some anti-fog substance I'be bought from an optics' shop. I got not fog/frost using that. It makes a film from water that you can see through.
  21. Once I "landed" - got to the ground with no chute open.
  22. I don't jump with a camera. I was told that you have to turn your head/neck downwards/don't look up on opening.
