AN 2 jump. Do you want it at the WFFC?
phoenixlpr replied to Fleahop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
An interesting note from the pilot's handbook reads: "If the engine quits in instrument conditions (blind flying when you can’t see the ground) or at night, the pilot should pull the control column full aft (it won’t stall) and keep the wings level. The leading-edge slats will snap out at about 40 mph (64 km/h), and when the airplane slows to a forward speed of about 25 mph [40 km/h], the airplane will sink at about a parachute descent rate until the aircraft hits the ground." Stall Speed: 35-40kts. but controlled descents are possible at 25kts. or 30mph. -
HOW THE F#*% DO YOU GET A NEW ZP CANOPY IN THE D BAG?
phoenixlpr replied to nikyboy's topic in Gear and Rigging
Why do I have to fight with small tube stows if I have a pullup cord? Anyways its not brand new anymore, it has 200+ jumps, but it can be really bitchy if its really dry. -

It would take forever. An-2 is really slow to climb. Effective celing is about 2500m. -
Riser pressure is depending on the trim and wing area.

experts? which swoop canopy is the most docile?
phoenixlpr replied to airborne82nd's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Read my words again. I have not written any canopy off. Every canopy is a compromise. If you wanna swoop you might find better canopies than Pilot. -

Was it because you've flown a Pilot? -
You know you're a real Wingsuit flyer when ...

A SILVER wingsuit may cooler in the sunshine than a black one. -
experts? which swoop canopy is the most docile?
phoenixlpr replied to airborne82nd's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I'm using double fronts only. It really hard to make it dive except I play with breakes a bit and its really hard to keep it in dive after 6-7 seconds. Its flatten out in 3-4 seconds after I gently release front risers. -

I suggest to forget Pilot if you want to swoop. I fly mine ~WL 1.4. Its a fight to make it dive. -
I hope you got my message. IMHO line stows are not a major issue in opening.

or not ? Lazy bag thread

How about pulling the slider over the nose? Or getting a bigger/pocket slider.

Definition of a Hook Turn
phoenixlpr replied to BrianSGermain's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Why are they(short recovery) more dangerous, if you get yourself under canopy faster? -
I have to use it, because thats to official way of teaching student to pack. I don't like it: it's a pain to get in, getting out and during flaking the nose too. One should is enough.
-
Yep, Its harder to pack if you can not see.....
-
That's BS. Packing is a skydiving religion. You should practice, spread and have faith in. There are plenty of ways, but you have to find yours. Here is mine
-
Notice: I'm not against psychopack(psychobag), I just didn't find it easier. Thats all.
-
Easy to say! Have you tried a brand new canopy to roll??? Its a silicon slime.
-
No, Its just a matter of search.
