Same question: why not jump a Stiletto150 with 250+ jumps?
-
Yeah. I think it's just a question of motivation. I can not name bigger motivation than a new canopy.
-
Why do you give an advice like that with 137 jumps?

What out-of-the-ordinary things do you do for safety?

May I quote you? Is life is just a division? Is good judgment coming from simple numbers? -
Do everything right ... still die?
phoenixlpr replied to Praetorian's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You may die on the road too nevertheless you do everything right. Its hard to live without luck. -
I think there are less friction between line and line than line and rubber band, so pulling those lines won't make any other line stow free.
-
Wow! I've tried that by myself too. My tailbone was hurting for 2-3 weeks after that hit.

So do we have to pay 4x more for packers to have better results in 4x more time? -
It suck as long as you learn how to do it. You can be really proud that you are able to pack anything (sport main).

It's a good reason why not everyone is allowed to pack reserves. How can anyone call him/herself as an independent skydiver if he/she is not able to pack his/her own main. -
Don't be afraid, you might learn how to pack .
-
Me too. Specially, because I pack for myself.
-
??? Why me? What?

If you have so much doubt about your gear why don't you play golf instead?

Strength of the spring could be the main factor, but what do you think you was your PC hasitating and where? About a main bridle lenght in your burble?
-
Take it easy. Cool down. AFAK reserve PC has a way longer bride, so it won't hasitate in your burble. I have 5 rides so far. I can tell you that nothing to worry about if you lunch your reserve(PC) into clean air.

Good tips. Is the air dry ? Its easier to pack in a bit more humid environment. In the early days I've just left my gear with my humidifier for the night. It was much easier to pack in the morning.

Would you please stop yelling here? Writting in all caps is not polite.

Do you pay if you come down with the plane?
phoenixlpr replied to testpilot's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It was happened once, get a refund, but not because of weather. Plane had some radio problems. -
AFAK it was a thread about it. I think the conclusion was that both should be trimmed the same way....
-
That's BASE stuff. Different environment, different hazards. I don't think thats really relevant in skydiving.

Just compare the specs of the Firebird-R with Phi's.

Updated Phi ? Firebird-R ?
