Is aerodyne really a lower tier manufacturer...
phoenixlpr replied to DougH's topic in Gear and Rigging
It took me less than 40 jumps. I've seen the details of the canopy are written in ink and not printed there and they are still visible. I did the same and I was told they know about it and labels are produced in a different way now. -
You missed something. I'm not looking for anything.
-
BTW how is the silicone getting dry? My canopy left a silicone-wet spot on the floor after packing when it was new. Nice trick. It could be a more bitchy to pack .

So? AFAK you set the your agle of attach by the ratio of the lift generated by the arm and the leg wing. So you might have bigger arm wing or leg wing area, but it could not be effective.
-
AFAK most of the lift is coming from the leg wing. Tall and skinny people are said to be the best wingsuit fliers.

Do you plan swooping in the future? If yes Sabre2 can be better, if not Pilot can be a good choice.

I use Optima and Neptun as a digital altimeter and logbook. I used Pro-track before.

I think you have found it. I've bought a 24" ZP kill-line PC for that as it was recommended by Atair and it opens beautiful.
-
I was wondering to pick one of your selection before. I've ended up under a Cobalt 135. It opens soft, flies great and lands fantastic. I don't know the customer service yet. I've bought as used and it was really cheap. Cobalt is made from Gelvenor fabric. It is fun and easy to pack.

I have a Cobalt and its from Gelvenor. It is the very best.

Not everyone is willing to face his/her fears.

Do don't we have emergency exit drills on commercial flight?
-
I think a 27" PC is big enough for your 135 sqft canopy. I use 36" F111 PC with ~180cm bridle for my Pilot150 and 24" ZP PC with normal bridle (~2,5m) for my Cobalt135. I had no hesitation issues.

I have packed twice without setting brakes. I noticed and corrected.
-
I have not packed a step-thru yet. I had some step-thru's, but I noticed them in line check.

Ok. You made an excellent job anyway! -

There is a missing part between 0:59:55 - 1:00:11. Black screen with changing yellow subtitles from the distance1 part. Nice footage, but the "easy..easy" woman is a bit irritating. -
Speed of opening should be controlled by the slider. You should not do any tricks.

Try to release the CAP LOCK! Stop yelling!

3 ring was just optimal. Each ring acts as a lever. Pulling force was too high using only 2 rings for cut-away. Adding more rings will ease pulling but adds more complexity. Check Aerodyne's risers! They are cheating. Their 2nd ring is not a ring, it's a kindda oval. Its virtually bigger.

Think. Your canopy opens in a given time from a given speed so it makes some distance. You have more horizontal speed on high speed pass. Your canopy is opening against the relative wind and because of your bigger horizontal speed you make longer distance in space in the same amount of time than in a low speed pass, so you would get a fully deployed canopy earlier.

How about 250?

Check other thread about BASE leg pouch! That has good and bad points too.

kml and kmz can be opened with Google Earth -
It depends. As a licensed skydiver its up to you. You have to have a chest mounted altimeter if you are a student in Finland.
