HP landing on a( the first) demo jump?
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Safety and Training
I'm not the S&TA and not even the organizer of that jump. I'm going to be the 2nd in exit order by wing load. I have jump other place than an airfield, but I had only 2 spectators. I had my lesson I think I have learnt it well. If we have that demo, I can tell after that. -

What does DGIT mean? -
Try to use search! You are not alone.

Boarding a jump plane is a commitment. Statistic does not tell you if you have one or if you not as a student. You can reach 1000 jumps without a cut-away or having 6 of them. Training and gear maintenance matter.

HP landing on a( the first) demo jump?
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Safety and Training
We are planing to have a demo jump into a football stadium. The place is 5-10 meter lower than the surroundings. There are trees (5-10 meter high) and other obstacles too, so winds could be unpredictable and most likely it would not be any wind on the ground level inside. Our plan is getting in one or the other corner and land in diagonal. One of the other corners can be the second choice, but the rest is out of question. One of us is planning to go there with a 120 sqft airlocked canopy with a PDR113 and planning to have 180 degrees rotation on landing. His WL is about 1.5/1.6 and he has about 400 jumps. Opinions? -
Our airfield is about +75m over the see level. I don't still have great glide ratios. Does pattern matter? I suspect the in WS BASE they can fly a strait line.

How to flock with an Impact flier? Impact vs. wingsuit?
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I'm still fallng in 100-120 km/h range with Phantom, but my friends are faster with impact. What is the right exit from a C207? -

I was wondering the same...., but BirdMan is a bigger brand. -
Should D license requirements be changed?

Swwoping is not a crime, but it should be. It is too good. -
Should D license requirements be changed?

Totally agree . So everyone should complete 10 wing suite jump, 5 skysurf, 50 freefly and 3 style jumps to in resaonable time . Have I missed any other disciplines? -
How to flock with an Impact flier? Impact vs. wingsuit?
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Wing Suit Flying
What is the easiest strategy to fly close to an Impact with a wing suit? What is the recommended exit/fly plan? I tried to fly close to an impact yesterday. He was jumping last and after 2-3 more seconds delay. I have managed to get similar fall rate, but I was quite far. He has a 90 degrees left turn after exit and I was flying a bit in line. It was turning dark and after he was under me I lost visual, so I turn the other direction and flown away. -
Shame? Why? Phantom is just one suite and there are plenty and more is coming.

Anyone can kill himself by the table too. So what is the point in it? I'd prefer a mentoring system.

Yeee. That's it!

metal reserve handles Vs Pillows, Opinions?
phoenixlpr replied to rigger_john's topic in Gear and Rigging
I hope when I have spent as much time in this sport as you did I still able to remember how is being a student. I do know that I have not received the best training in the world. Pillow reserve handle is not recommended by the inventor of the 3 ring cut-away system or not even by me. -
Welcome to the clan of the Phantoms. What is you number, brother? Mine is 81.

metal reserve handles Vs Pillows, Opinions?
phoenixlpr replied to rigger_john's topic in Gear and Rigging
I was a student with 32 jumps under a full malfunction for the first time. I have failed to execute proper emergency procedure. Color does not matter. Shape and grip/touch does. I had jumps with soft/soft handles as a student. I had jumps with hard/hard setup. I've spent more time for preparing for jumping that rig with unusual handle setup. I had my cut-away pillow folded under the webbing, but I have noticed and corrected. I don't want to have a hard cut-away handle, see Bill Booth's post. I don't want to have a soft reserve handle. I does not have the same grip, it can not be pulled by a single thumb and it is not legal in the country I am jumping now. -

It does have a different touch. It can be mixed. I did it with both soft handes as a student. -
Wingload seems to make big effect on flying characteristics. There are amazing all-around airfoils around.

What a hell are you doing under an elliptical canopy with 140 jumps???
-
What is the reason to deploy not perfectly stable if you are high???

thanks

Choose PRK/LASEK and not LASIK. It better to take 1 week of pain than a wound that never, ever heals 100%. I was jumping about 2 weeks after a PRK without problem. Ok. My eyes have to be recalibrated for landing again .

That's all I got from an expert.... BTW what is your choice from above if you have altitude and you are over the designated landing area?
