That reminds me of the old romp.com series called, "Those Fucking Animals", with Peter Stiffen. The Badda Bing turtle episode. (unfortunately I don't have anywhere to upload the 4MB file from my 'puter, unless I can e-mail it to someone to upload? The Romp is now a paysite) But you have to understand, mental illness is like cholesterol. There is the good kind and the bad. Without the good kind- less flavor to life. - Serge A. Storms

Yeah, there's some meaning to them. But mostly I just liked how it looks like they are raised, due to the light effects. But you have to understand, mental illness is like cholesterol. There is the good kind and the bad. Without the good kind- less flavor to life. - Serge A. Storms

Hmm. Well I didn't jump to defend anyone's honour. I just pointed out an error in the post about where the heck this happened. But, you seem to have your hands full in that other thread on SC. So, yeah, vigilante justice can cause problems, dz.com posts and all kinds of debate. Best, But you have to understand, mental illness is like cholesterol. There is the good kind and the bad. Good ol' "Mars Attacks" Torres pulled it off. Yeah, it was a good game and happy to see we are still beating the past year's President's Cup winners. Again.

OK, I'm really curious now. What is Macon known for? The home of the Whoopee Cushion Factory?? What was the team logo? Oilers 2, Detroit 1. Nice fucking save Roli!!!

That's a typical Upper Canadian attitude. Aaaaaahhh....go get drunk on skreetch and kiss a rotten dead codfish you dang newf. Richards Sigh... It's a sad day when people comment on an event yet have no idea of where it happened. Even when it's written right in the article quoted. BTW, why do you assume you know where I'm from? Right. Thanks, the wording could be misleading. There was only the one woman with the t-shirt. And along with everyone else down there she knew that the police weren't putting up with much. Warnings were issued in the newspapers, daily. Being that I lived one block from there I got to witness most of what went on. I mentioned the one woman just to illustrate the attitude that was prevalent in the area. Her arrest and everything along with it was big news for awhile, as you know. But people were burning shopping carts and road signs in the middle of the intersection! Not reasonable at all, just because we won some hockey games. (And so you know I'm not just a fascist, I'm one of the biggest Oiler fans. I just don't think it excuses the bad behaviour.) To keep with the Calgary bylaw changes, I think it's great, and cities like Edmonton should follow. It's not so that every violation becomes a newspaper headline. It's so that the officers on the street can actually enforce. When you think about it, there are already laws against speeding, but there are tolerances and judgment involved. The same will go for this. It's disgusting to have to step through large gobs of spit, urine and feces (yep! have done that as well) just to make it to a local restaurant. And god forbid you should happen to make eye contact with some St. Albert punk who should have been cut off four hours earlier. But you have to understand, mental illness is like cholesterol. It's getting worse in both Calgary and Edmonton (and many other cities in this hemisphere). Calgary passes the bad behaviour law so that maybe the cops and bylaw officers can have some teeth on the streets. More and more people just don't seem to have any personal accountability. And we let them get away with it. A woman in my condo building recently said that the reefer smell wafting into her home from the neighbours was bothering her, but she feared repercussions if she complained! This is in a 'good' neighbourhood with professional people in the building. And she's scared, because people can be real assholes and don't give a shit about others, just themselves. The time 'Shell is referring to included the arrest of a woman, one of dozens that night, who was wearing a t-shirt with "the only way to behave is NOT to" written on it. It can get even weirder. Someone mentioned the Calgary bylaw change in a previous post (about taking a dump in public - hey why not? The birds do it). In Calgary you can smoke on the street. However, you can't smoke on an outdoor patio attached to a bar or pub, but you can smoke inside. But you have to understand, mental illness is like cholesterol. There is the good kind and the bad.
