Yeah, but the nice thing about the extended edition is that all of the scenes that were edited out solely because of time constraints are back in. They are put in seemlessly, not on a special menu or anything, the movie just has more content than what was in the theater or on the standard release. Yes, and according to the special features on the CURRENT release, the score was rewritten and everything so that it would fit with the extended scenes and have no breaks in it, rather than "inserting" extra bits of the original score. Peter Jackson doesn't just throw this shit together, he takes care with it and makes sure everything is perfect... ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

Best answer... BOTH! Of course, I AM one of the biggest LOTR fans. So, yes, I bought the widescreen edition that just came out, and YES, I will buy the extended edition in November. I did the same thing with Fellowship, and I'm sure I will do the same with Return of the King. HOWEVER-- I do NOT dress up as an elf or ringwraith or hobbit when I go to the premieres. Lucky you. It's going to flood here in Dallas within an hour if the rain keeps up like this. Major downpours, as if God himself had plumbing issues! 5 months, 6 days. Chicken soup (of course), a hot bath (the heat will relax your muscles, and the steam will temporarily help clear out your sinuses), and lots of sleep. I'm also a firm believer in Advil Cold and Sinus-it's a miracle drug. Be sure to get enough to eat, even if it's just soup and crackers--feed a cold and all that. My boyfriend's had a cold for a couple of days now, and he's starting to feel better, finally. Oh, on a side note, if you eat some REALLY HOT salsa, it'll help clear out your sinuses for awhile!
