    well I understand your suggestion but the fact of the matter is that my camcorder died, it was old but it lived a good life, and since I'm going to buy one anyways I was thinking about making it useful in the future. As for the cameras themselves, I was wondering what the difference between the PC and TRV series is.

    Thanxs I will definetely look into those, I was just wondering why it seems that everyone here is really into Sony's. Is there something that sony offers that makes their cameras better? Or does it have to do with buying accesories related to skydiving? I will definetly come across the lake and visit you jimmy, I'm five jumps away from my A license and I hope to make a road trip this winter.

    well it's time to buy a new camcorder, I'm into skydiving but far far far away from flying a camera. I think that eventually that's what I want to do. I'm wondering if people could give me suggestions in avenues to look into so that maybe in a year or so I'll have a good beginner camera to start with.

    What kind of metal or combination of metal are they made with. Are they just plain old stainless steel? I'm just wondering how strong they are.

    I get these "Mystery Bruise's" on the inside's of my upper arms and sometimes my triceps (the backs of my upper arms) They are always in the middle of my upper arms, at least three inches from my shoulder socket. I've watched a few slow mo versions of my openings and I haven't seen any way that I could get them. I am short, and I use rented gear. I just thought it was a conspiracy. I asked my AFF instructors about them, and they have no idea about their cause either. I wouldn't say these bruises are bad though, they are about the size of a quarter, but they are really really deep purple in colour.

    I'm taking a little trip to columbus, ohio and I was wondering if anyone knew of any gear shops in or around that area. I'm canadain and would like to pick up some stuff that I won't have to pay duty on.

    First you need to save a lot of money at some other job that sucks. Or else get a bank loan that you won't have to start paying back for 5 years. And once you get the money you can spend it ALL on learning how to skydive.

    Sorry to interject here. But could someone suggest a helmet that is kind of the same style as the gath but with a little more head protection and an internal audible. I've been to the gear section and had a look around, I'm just kind of wondering what would be the next step up (cost wise)
