  1. Its not a good thing OR a bad thing. Its just a thing.
  2. Slightly larger reserve main Sabre2 210 reserve PD-218R
  3. How can I create a complete tutorial on web servers, websites, computer networks, network protocols, and html and sum it all in 1 or 2 paragraphs? While you are at it, how can I create a stable, controllable wormhole?
  4. 3 words: Uninterruptible Power Supply If your work is important, make the investment. Dont blame the power company. They dont claim to provide uninterrupted service.
  5. Not bad. 43 days to become bubba's bitch. No additional smokes or magazines are listed. (210 lb diesel with 5 tat's and a non-purty mouth) I guess I should be pleased that I can hold that big bastard off for that long. Frankly, I'd just shank Bubba and stop worrying about it. The best defense...
  6. I cant believe that I got all the way through this and you left me hanging waiting for those words of conclusion that will never come
  7. $3800.00 for new rig $ 500.00 for used Cypres ------------------------------ $4300.00 total I saved a few bucks buying used cypres. Had I bought a new Cypres2 it would have hit the 5k mark. New rig is: H/C: Vector 3 M-Series w/skyhook + a few options Main: Sabre2 210 Reserve: PD-218
  8. I recall reading a post or two that suggested that the Hornet will buck when using front risers.
  9. Howdy, OK I must be dumb for saying this, but the addresses listed in the FULL PROFILE are available for everyone to look at by clicking the "Full Profile" link by their avatar. I used to have my real one there but removed it because I was actually getting spam because of it. It appeared that some less scrupulous gear shops were farming addresses from there and sending advertisements. Am I nutz?
  10. I believe this qualifies as "hardly working" Why am I not at the DZ? I wont have my rig for 2 more weeks...
  11. The real question is: What kind of question is that??!?

    LMAO Funnies!

It would be funny if it werent so true. For men AND women I get seriously pissed when I see people gabbing on the phone or putting on makeup while they drive. They are risking MY life when they do that. Pay attention when you drive. I think if you do these things while driving, you should be pulled from your car and smaked a few good ones in public for being an idiot. I dont give a crap how good you think you are. You are gonna eventually hurt yourself or someone else.
  13. I have a big head and glasses. 23.5 inches. Just got a Bonehead Havoc. Its fits great and over my glasses as well. Some people think its funny looking but frankly it doesnt look all that odd.
  14. Hmmm...I didn't think there were good relationships that take very little work. Good relationships take work and patience on the part of both participants. Period. ANYONE can make a relationship work for 6 months or a year without much effort. Making them last years is hard. It requires comittment, patience, and lot and lots of love. All that love is absolutely necessary to get you through the periods of intense anger at each other. Those periods WILL happen to everyone eventually. Thats where the hard work comes in.

    Going Postal?

Good luck enforcing a measure like this. I operate my own e-mail servers which my ISP has no access to or control over. I expect that this trend would continue to grow if they try to charge for e-mail.
  16. Sounds like you have somehow gotten hold of my 15 year old son. Why not keep him till he is about 25 then return him . Or at least till he figures out that he doesnt know shit about anything. BTW, I've managed to keep him on the right side of failing in school with my version of grounding. 1. NO COMPUTER OR INTERNET ACCESS OF ANY KIND (this means e-mail, Instant messenger, Everquest, other games, etc) 2. No TV 3. No music 4. No X-Box or any other type of game 5. NO TELEPHONE CALLS 6. Lots of chores This goes on for 2 weeks for each class that is failed. Sentances run consecutively. For a 15 year old this is very hard time.
  17. Based on everything I've read, the PD is the better reserve by far. I've read lots of posts that talk about landing problems with the Raven. No flare etc. Well, I think how well it lands is a big deal I've also read a lot of posts that heap praise on the PD reserves from how well they fly to how strong they are. This opinion is based solely on the things I've read and not on personal experience. The opinions seem to be pretty much the same across the board though. Do your own research too. It appears to me that the only pro for the Raven is the lower price. How much is your life worth to you? I would recommend spending the additional $400.00 and get the PD reserve. Thats what I did.
  18. Well gee! You're telling us that we are all insignificant people. Thanks. I feel pretty damn inadequate! I shot down a Stuka Dive Bomber with a cannon once. OK it was only a model. And a tennis ball cannon. One of those cannons powered by lighter fluid and made from beer cans. I was test firing the cannon and accidentally hit the model which was suspended from the ceiling. I scored a direct hit. It was a total loss.
  19. Doesn't Bill Dause over at Lodi have over 34,000 jumps, too? I don't think those two got the 1 in 20,000 memo yet. Let's hope it stays lost in the mail. I think the last issue of Parachutist showd Bill Dause with a grand or two less based on the number of diamond wing award things. Like Bill Dause has google-diamond wings and Don Kellner has googleplex-diamond wings. These guys have been running neck and neck since I made my first jump back in 1989 but I believe that Don has the upper hand. He holds the Guinness record and has for as long as I've known him.
  20. The DZO in Hazelton, PA (Don Kellner) has over 34,000 logged jumps. I was just talking on the phone with him the other day so I know he isnt dead Statistics need to be viewed in a very general sense, not taken literally. I was under the impression, though, that the number was considerably higher than 20,000. I only have 57 jumps so far so I'm not worried
  21. I'm not all right, I'm half left!
  22. It's too bad, but the fact is that the freedoms we cherish so much also must permit idiots like this to spread their own rediculous doctrine as well. I wouldnt mourn for one second if a group of people dragged his sorry ass off into the woods and beat HIM to a pulp. Nobody would erect any monuments of any kind to him. He would be completely forgotten in record time.
  23. Dont even tell people about it. If your doctor feels the risk is minimal and you fell good about it and you want to jump, go do it and dont mention the pacemaker. This isnt lying, its getting around a stupid rule that shouldnt apply to you.
  24. Skydivers = family as soon as a member of my family begins skydiving. A lot of skydivers I've met are extremely cool. Others were assholes. I'd be proud to call some of them friend. Taken as a group, they are pretty cool, exciting, adventurous people. In point of fact though, the most screwed up individual I have ever had the displeasure to meet was a skydiver at the DZ. No blanket statements from me :-)
  25. I would demand that they replace the unit, not just chek it out. Its not JUST about safety, its also about your peace of mind. If you dont have any faith that the unit is functioning properly that will definately take away from your enjoyment of the sport. You paid for a new Cypres 2 not a "rechecked" unit that obviously didnt work properly. Additionally, I dont know how many they have sold so far, but I'd be willing to bet that it isnt thousands. 10 malfunctioning units out of the ones they have sold so far is a pretty high number if you ask me. Tell them they can either replace it or refund your money so you can buy a Vigil.
