    upsize your slider..... Speak to your rigger and have them make you a larger slider... I used to jump a sabre1 150 which would slam me almost everytime...     One word of advice is that, if you make a video with the intention of it being played on a PC then de-interlace, this will remove the flickering effect that you see.     DVDs are encoded as mpegs (for unencrypted ones, simply rename the .vob files to .mpg). You're best off keeping the DVD in mpeg so don't lose quality transcoding to AVI and then back to mpeg. However, there aren't a lot of editors out there that work well with mpeg and, of course, if you add transitions, color correct, etc., you'll still have to render, losing a little quality in the process.     when you import a video or audio file PrePro will automatically conform it. Im at work at the moment so dont have PP in front of me, but I will try and remember. What you need to do is change the project playback settings. By default, Adobe Premiere Pro previews audio through the DV device to external speakers only. If you change the audio playback to Play Audio on Audio Hardware, Adobe Premiere Pro plays audio through the computer's hardware and speakers. To update the playback settings to play audio on audio hardware: 1. Choose Project > Project Settings> General. 2. Click Playback Settings. 3. Choose Play Audio on Audio Hardware. 4.     I have actually never really tried to do this, however I reckon the easiest way to do this, will be NOT to rip the DVD’s onto you PC, but to connect your DVD player to your PC via your DV Camera. Then capture the footage as normal, this will ensure that the PC is capturing correctly timecoded DV content, and not trying to deal with converted VOB files. Although I dare say you could rip the DVD and convert the .VOB to an .AVI or .MPEG, but I would guess that you will run into problems when you import those converted files into most editing software, as there will be no timecode. Each and every frame of a DV tape has a timecode value encoded alongside its video data, and it is this timecode that your editing software will be expecting. Without it, you will be able to play your video, but try shuttling through it, or even editing it. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

    I have about 200 jumps on a spectre 170, and probably about half of those I psycho packed, and I would say there was not real noticeable difference in opening speed. I would say thought that the psycho pack did tend to give more off heading openings then the pro pack. The reason I psycho packed was at the time I found it easier to bag the canopy, now I pro-pack every time. If it is longer openings your after, and jumping a spectre I would have thought they would be pretty nice already, but if so the speak to your rigger about a larger slider, Or roll the slider in with the tail before you lay the canopy down. After the Spectre I had a Sabre 150 that used to spank me ever time, so I upsized the slider and from then on sweet openings every time. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
