Interesting read, but its all bunk im affraid. Essentially the way that the code works is the author takes all the words in the bible, removes all spaces between the words and punctuation, then using a computer he looks at every (*)th word. He then strings these words together to try and find some connection to events that have already happened, called retro-fitting. Using this code you can find hidden messages in any book, Drosnin's critics claimed, in which he retorted " when my critics find a message about the assassination of a prime minister encrypted in Moby Dick, I'll believe them." One of his critics, Brendan McKay took up the challenge to find that message and not only did he find it, a reference to Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, she also found messages about other assassinations of; President Rene Moawad, Leon Trotsky, Martin Luther King, the assassin Sirhan Sirhan, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln and the list goes on. But David E. Thomas dealt the final death blow came when he found the saying "The code is bogus" 60 times in the book of Genesis. What was the reason behind this book? Well in my opinion if Drosnin really did find the hidden code put their by god or some extra terrestrial he should have made it known to the world for free, but instead he wrote a book and charged people for it. This goes to show you what kind of person he is, in my opinion, and I lump him in with all the other con artists who are trying to make a buck selling their pseudoscience wares to the gullible of our society. What really caught my attention is how quickly the christian groups soaked all this crap up, I guess it is just one more desperate attempt to prove to the world that they are right and the rest of us are all going to hell. http://math.caltech.edu/code/petition.html ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

What program do you use to make titles?
br0k3n replied to kansasskydiver's topic in Photography and Video
The animated titling in C2 was done in 3D Studio Max and Maya--neither of which are easy to learn or operate, IMHO. For more basic titles, if you work on a mac, Livetype has some cool stuff, but can be a really powerful titling enging with a little creativity and a good knowledge of the program. Windows users--I don't know what to tell you other than the 3DSMX/maya options, but they're out there. hope this helps, pope 3DSMX & Maya are essential the same, well they are direct competitors, if im not mistaken ... 3DSMX isn't to tricky to use if all you want to do is create text, and texture it etc... it will take some time and effort though, and if you know anyone who uses it a quick lesson will really help..... just dont expect to run it for the first time and start banging out awesome 3d effects..... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+ -
Problems when burning DVD´s from Premiere Pro
br0k3n replied to LarsThomsen's topic in Photography and Video
This is quite a common problem with Ppro. I have discovered that the larger the project the more chance of an error. Before you start messing around with codecs etc, try to export to dvd again, but this time close everything down aprart from PP. Also download a program call EnditAll, and run this prior to exporting. also here is the Adobe response to the problem http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330725.html ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+ -
Similiar to iMovie would be Windows Movie Maker on PCs. Or you can do a bit more with widely-distributed Windows consumer products like Pinnacle Studio, Roxio VideoWave, Sony Vegas Movie Studio, and Ulead VideoStudio Having never used iMovie Im not really sure.. however iMovie does use the old A/B timeline editing method which is still used in Uleads Video studio, which is a fairly easy product to get to grips with and begin editing and will give more freedom the WMM.. Premiere Pro is a great program but aimed a pro-sumers and is alot more advanced then the consumer products, however with a litte time and effort you can teach yourself the basics with it. However Premiere Pro supports only single-track editing, with clips and transitions overlapping in each track on the timeline. This can be a significant change for some users, but supports a more efficient workflow. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

if you read the thread you will notice that it is the Gun owners or pro gun peoplle that are telling us why they like toown guns, not the other way around... I did read the thread, maybe you should read my post. I never said that there wasn't any of them expressing their point of view. I just noted my suprise at people that don't own guns saying why people do own guns. ok I apologise, I should have said it is "prodemanently" the gun owners ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

This is indeed true, however I bet if we went back in time 50 years or so and introdued a law that allowed the purchase and ownership of handguns, that today this statement would not be true, and we would all be walking around tooled up in the same state of gun dependancy as the US...... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

When I first started to learn to transition from a sit to HD, I would backslide like crazy. This was caused by me looking down as I transitioned which presented my chest to the airflow, and thus induced a massive backslide... which I believe is quite common when learning... I cured this habit by thinking to myself that I do not want to get any shots of the ground on my camera when I transistion, and to focus in the horizon... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

Dude Nuclear weapons are just a tool. An inanimate object - it would be foolish to be afraid of them, why don't we just let everyone have one. I mean if people want to commit genocide they will do it with or without nukes so we may as well just let ehm have them. in·an·i·mate Audio pronunciation of "inanimate" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (n-n-mt) adj. 1. Not having the qualities associated with active, living organisms So yes weapons of mass and minor destruction are equated as is the internet with a printing press? However a "ducatis and horse" are not as the horse is a living organisms and therefore not inanimate. That would be like comparing apples to oranges...
