  1. There are many advantages to wresting control of your outgoing email from your ISP’s hands. 1. Avoiding server delays. 2. Speed – 3. Control 4. Avoid Relaying Denied messages 5. For managing large-scale mail-outs Anyway an easy way to set you self up is to use http://www.postcastserver.com/ With remarkably little effort on your part, takes over the role of your ISP’s SMTP server. It turns your PC into an SMTP server which works with any email client and any Internet connection. It runs on all versions of Windows and works on both LANs and on standalone PCs. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  4. Interestingly the mission of war is NOT to kill people….. The British army used the (until around 1990ish) the SLR 7.62 rifle, however changed this to the SA80 5.56. The reason for the drop in calibre was that it was decided that it was better to injure then to kill. The reason being an injured soldier will typically take 3 people off the field, where as with a dead soldier you only remove one from the field. In the context of any armed conflict, the topic of war crimes inevitably arises, especially in reports of civilian and military casualties and the taking of prisoners of war. The idea of a "war crime" seems to be pretty redundant: Most of us are familiar with the phrase "All is fair in love and war," and in an armed conflict, in which the killing of enemy troops is considered an acceptable means to an end, it may seem that the concept of a "crime" is out of place. But there are countless treaties that declare otherwise, signed by almost every nation in the world. The Hague laws and Geneva Conventions are some of the most widely applied of these international agreements. These treaties address, among other issues, the participants of war, the victims of war, occupation by hostile forces and the status of cultural property. In the 2003 war in Iraq, Iraqi troops waved a white flag and then opened fire on the U.S. soldiers who approached to accept their surrender; this act is prohibited under the Hague laws. In World War II, the Nazis in Germany performed medical experiments on civilians; this act is prohibited in all of the Geneva Conventions. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  7. i've measured my lines against the recommended length from Icarus, and they're short :-( I would simply give it to my rigger to adjust, however I am off across the country for a spot of ground launching this weekend, so wont be at DZ, and wont get chance to get my lines ajusted by a rigger. Also I would like to be able to this sort of thing myself.. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  19. Yes you could custom order a Safire in ANY size. That was one of their big selling points. If you wanted a 134.5 you could get one. But remember that based on the measuring differences, it will be much smaller. -OK so if you ordered a 134, then tail label of the canopy it would read 134? or 123? 21. I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to skydive in such fear that you daren't jump without a reserve parachute. Isn't it amazing how substituting a different tool and activity in your sentence, totally destroys the validity of your argument? Skydivers who have reserve parachutes do not jump in fear of having a main parachute malfunction. Citizens who own guns do not live in fear of being attacked by criminals. I both cases, they are just prudent measures to take in preparation in case the worst should happen. Come on JR that’s a little bit of a loose comparison, Reserve chutes and guns… How many people have been murdered by someone who had a concealed PD150 reserve??? Do you think that Columbine would have been the same if the two chaps were armed with 9 cell ZP reserves… Jumping out of a plane puts you at risk of injury or even death every time, therefore it is prudent to have a reserve that might protect you or save your life… I can’t imagine that it is so dangerous in the US that every time you walk down the street, drive somewhere that your life is at risk to point that it is prudent to be packing heat…. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  22. So a safire 134 would in fact be 123 sqft ! Is that correct ? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  23. Why is being prepared equal, in your opinion, to being paranoid? - Jim It’s not equal in my opinion. So being the prepared person you are, do you also carry a needle and thread with you, a compass, a survival bag, fishing hook and line, emergency water supply???? Or are you only preparing yourself for a deadly assault on your freedom ?? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  24. Not sure which country you mean by "my country" but anyway.. Population Texas according to 2003 census 22,118,509 Place of birth is UK, population 2003 59,600,000 Place of current residence Australia, population 19,913,144 I would hardly call either of those a "mere %" in fact the population of Texas is a mere 40% of that of the UK.... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  25. some where alongthe lines of 119, 129, 149, 169, 189.... but then again those were thier placarded sizes.... if you measure them with pd's method they would be 8% smaller.... so the safire 149i have is actually closer to 138....... they changed the way they measure them when they released the safire2 Is it possible to order a safire in any size you want, e.g could a safire 134 exist? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
