  1. T Thank you Jerry, Now I understand Tesla. ”we produce a virtue signaling piece of high tech nonsense” as long as they are high tech and virtue signaling.... mission accomplished, fit, finish and reliability be damned.
  2. Tesla owners are more cult member than consumer, same goes for Tesla stock holders.
  3. Honda: twenty five years and nothing more than oil, tire, air filter and break pad changes.
  4. https://www.hotcars.com/problems-with-tesla-nobody-talks-about/ “Anyone who is image-obsessed is instantly drawn to products like Teslas.“

  6. It wasn’t my opinion, it was the finding of JD Power.
  7. Why the obfuscation? Tesla’s quality sucks and the mindless Muskophiles just want to pretend they haven’t bought a POS. No need for personal attacks. Let’s just stick to the fit and finish. Just to be clear my personal vehicle choices have been; Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Honda, Honda and Honda. My wife’s have been; Ford, Land Rover (British pice of crap), Mazda, Mercedes, Mercedes. I have never bought a German vehicle in my life. That said, for long trips, with the family, nothing beats the quiet, capacity, comfort, performance and yes the panache of the big Benz.
  8. That’s a reach but I will give you an A for imagination (or would that that be an I?) BTW the Benz is the wife’s, I drive an Accord coupe V6 w a manual.
  9. Did you not read the article? The customer loyalty is inversely proportional to the level of quality. It is just a bunch of guys desperately trying to justify their bad decision. what part of “lowest quality” did you not understand?
  10. https://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2020/07/25/the-tesla-paradox-highest-emotional-attachment-lowest-quality-says-jd-power/#f4a6e7d7594c The manufacturing quality of Tesla vehicles is low according to the J.D. Power annual Initial Quality Study released June 24. According to the Wall Street Journal, the survey found that “Tesla vehicles, in their first time appearing in the survey, were found to have 250 problems per 100 vehicles compared with an industry average this year of 166 problems.” That is the worst performance in the industry. As David Sargent, VP, Global Automotive at J.D. Power, told me in a July 24 interview, “Tesla’s score of 250 was the highest of any manufacturer in the study. Why the poor quality? It’s not the fact that they are making an electric vehicle. It’s the basics. On the outside of the vehicle [there are problems with] door closures, panel fit, wind noise, and paint quality. On the inside it’s the interior finish that’s not completely attached, rattles and squeaking that are more noticeable in an electric vehicle because it’s quiet.” Why would anyone, in their right mind, choose a Tesla over any other premium car? According to J.D Power, they are a POS. I guess It makes sense if the need to race at stoplights (like a teenage boy) and virtue signal overrides any rational impulse.
  11. I agree with your point about Born in the USA, but with regard to RATM, it is the exactly the same point, it just a different power/man they are rebelling against. “Now you’re wearing a masks....now you’re under control, now you can’t go to bars.... now you’re under control now you can’t go to school....now you’re under control”
  12. No, not at all. It is ironic because Rage is very left wing, but the whole “and you do what they tell you...now you’re under control” and the “f*ck you I won’t do what you tell me” fits very nicely with today’s right wing
  13. Listening to Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name and it occurred to me that this may be the next battle hymn for the Right. Thoughts?

    Q

The only thing you should fear is that enough Americans felt alienated to fall for the Trump clown show and got him elected. If only we followed our own laws, we would have not be in the mess we are now in.

    Q

Let’s forget Q, what do YOU think of Trump wishing the best for someone complicit in the rape of underage girls?
  16. Can’t tow, can’t accelerate, no seat massage, I’ll stick with the Merc.
  17. Less than that actually $23,849 https://www.edmunds.com/mercedes-benz/gl-class/2015/vin/4JGDF2EE3FA575434/?national=true&radius=6000
  18. I don’t really need that, just need to be faster than 90% of the other vehicles on the road. I DO need the space, range and towing capacity.
  19. From your article “No storms this year have reached hurricane strength (sustained winds greater than 74 mph)” So to recap, very busy hurricane season with exactly ZERO hurricanes.
  20. Not enough range, 305(less in winter) vs 422 Not enough room 120 cu.ft. vs 143.6 cu.ft. Insufficient towing capacity 4960lbs vs 7500lbs I will grant you teenage boys will be impressed with the doors on the model x
  21. I never heard of either until BillV brought it up. I guess that would make him an alarmist

  23. http://climaterealism.com/2020/07/antarctic-doomsday-glacier-is-really-doomsday-for-climate-alarmism/ “A fake climate scare making headlines comes from researchers who say West Antarctica’s Thwaites glacier may soon collapse, raising sea levels by 6 feet or more over the next century. Alarmists are dubbing this the “Doomsday Glacier.” This is ironically true, as the fake climate scare of the Doomsday Glacier is really a doomsday for climate alarmism.”
