  1. One is known by their works. Those who preach their own agendas rather than what's Biblical are not to be trusted.

  3. I don’t believe I’ve ever said that good works aren’t necessary. As a matter of fact, “faith without works is dead.” However, for the born again Christian, good works do not come from his/her own goodness but through Christ who lives in us. Good works are one of the signs of a growing and maturing Christian. Don't get me wrong. Your good works cannot save you. Only through repentance and faith are you saved. Good works should follow salvation. A good tree bears good fruit. A bad tree bears bad fruit. If a self-professing Christian isn’t bearing good fruit, he/she had better re-examine themselves to make sure they are in the faith and that their election is sure. By the way, the goal isn’t to “win the game.” It is simply to “run the good race.” God gets all the credit and glory.
  4. Ok. Why? What's in particular is wrong with his theology? Also, what has any of it got to do with racism which would warrant comparison with David Duke?
  5. I'm not self-righteous at all. I'm just as guilty as she is. I meant that it's a bad sign when the conscience begins to dull and there is no contrition for having sinned against God. Without which, there is no reason to repent and one cannot be saved.

  8. I want to further explain my motive for posting the link to the audio by John McArthur. It is not to attack Catholics out there. It is just to get information out there which many may be unaware. Maybe you already are. I'm sure most disagree. That's ok. I'm not trying to put you down or discredit you. I just think it's important to know as much about what you believe as possible so as to make informed decisions. By the way, I believe there are many Catholics who are saved.

  12. I mean absoultely no disrespect to Micro or any other Catholic. Sincerely. These are just some very detailed and substantiated claims by John MacArthur. It could have monumental implications with regard to the salvation of millions.
  13. There's no substance to your argument. I've seen the man speak in person. I believe his sincerity. I've also read stuff he writes. It's Biblically solid. So are the others in his ministery. Even more so. I have no idea what your poem is supposed to prove with regard to this.
  14. Actually he said that the Pope has the embodiment of Antichrist. He didn't say that he was; only that he demonstrated qualities of. He mentioned that there have been many of the sorts. He also did not just make blind accusations. He gave very detailed Biblical reasons why. Any refutations? Explain?
  15. I am truly amazed that no Catholics have taken the time to listen to this audio and commented on it. Nobody. I listened to it again. Whew!
  16. I have yet to find anything unbiblical in Ray Comfort's teachings. As a matter of fact, it is the most solid Biblical teaching I've ever heard. That is why I take him seriously. He, Kirk Cameron, and Todd Friel are excellent.

If you have the time to listen, this sermon by John MacArthur on a previous broadcast of Way of the Master Radio addresses the issue of whether Catholics are born again and whether or not they should be evangelized to just like unbelievers. You may not agree with it but it is a hard-hitting point of view.
  18. Why leave out those who believe in many gods? I believe in the Powerpuff Girls' ability to save me from evil. I thank them for everything bewtowed upon this Earth. In my own way, they are my gods. Am I on the same path as you? Who are you to say that my gods are irrelevant and your one god is?

  20. I don't believe in paying my taxes. I also don't believe that whoever created the law that says I must pay my taxes every year exists. If the Government catches up with me, will I not still wind up in prison? My guess is that I would whether I believe it or not. Added: That was just an example. I pay my taxes and believe that one should. I just don't agree with how much they take. I still pay it but I digress.

Our Government is founded on a basic distrust of the people in charge. Checks and balances in government are really checks and balances on the selfish natures and corrupt potential of the people who rule. The comparison of our government with God's sovereignty isn't possible. By definition, God is (infinite) love, holy, and just. He is righteous by a perfect standard. He is the only one you can put your full trust in without fear of being let down.
