  1. I would guess with an original GoPro - given the blackout on overexposure in the sun. It also looks like center metering rather than a weighted average (from the minute or so I watched) Keep editing man, have fun, learn a lot and try not to drive yourself mad.
  2. You have a few options: 1) Skydive Orange 2) Skydive West Point 3) Skydive DelMarVa 4) Skydive Chambersburg None of which are metro accessible. However, a large number of jumpers from each DZ live in DC and usually don't have a problem bringing another with them - providing you chip in. /I'm partial to Orange, since it's my home DZ, but you really can't go wrong at any DZ.
  3. I think I wrote this somewhere else but: All numbers approximate - I don't log jumps anymore. Manta 300-220 until an A Sil 210 @ 1.19 for 150 jump Sab2 190 @ 1.31 for 230 jumps XF2 169 @ 1.48 for 450 jumps May 2009 - [ Kat 150 @ 1.67 for 80 jumps Kat 135 @ 1.85 for 20-30 jumps (demo) Kat 120 @ 2.00 for 20-30 jumps (demo) Velo 120 @ 2.00 for 20-30 jumps (demo) ] - Oct 2009 Velo 111 @ 2.19 for 200 jumps and began competing in FLCPA Currently on a Velo 103 @ 2.36 for ~ 20-30 jumps The last 2-3 years have been dedicated canopy training and 95% hop and pops - to the point that my DZ gets weirded out when I go to altitude.
  4. Hope you didn;t have credit card data in there... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/04/sony-admits-utter-psn-failure-your-personal-data-has-been-stolen.ars
  5. If you have a bit of congestion this time of year, esp related to allergy, and the two weeks, there are several remedies. You can try otc meds (mucinex/sudafed), Afrin is useful if you are immediately congested, but use no longer than three days or your body basically becomes addicted to it/withdrawals /congestion etc. Highly recommended is some nasal saline/Nettipot for clearing debris from the opening to your sinuses and allowing the fluid to drain freely thereby releasing pressure, and allowing the solution to decrease a chronic inflammation. Your physician may also recommend a nasal steroid for a maintenance decrease in inflammation. /this does not constitute any official medical advice - see a physician locally for full evaluation.
  6. Looks like it is pretty pathetic on both sides.
  7. What I learned from not being a whining bitch - do all the above, fuck his gf, and kick him whenever you feel like it to keep him in his place.
  8. My last two times I have left MCO I have been stopped and asked for my "ID card" that allows me to carry the parachute. I don;t know what card this is, so I tell them I don;t have anything, and that none are required. This last time, it turns out that this is the cypres card. After asking for the supervisor, who kept demanding this ID card - I got his boss. They went and reviewed security procedures, and then original "supervisor/inspector" apologized to me for requiring this card, but that it was what let him verify what was in the rig. He then informed me that he was a military jumper, had 75 jumps, but still decided that some rigs still have "blasting caps" in them. I then told the manager that this is twice I have had to deal with incompetent employees coming through B terminal, and was assured of a re-briefing on the matter. We'll see next time I go down. I expect nothing, but feel like writing the letter to the TSA anyway.
  9. Thanks genius. Did you read my entire post, or the post it was referring to? How about my first post on the thread? The guy claimed tail flutter, and that it was solved by lengthening his steering line by 3 inches. The rest of my post was tyring to find out if it was actual flutter, or the bucking you typically see with short lines. Quite the contributor, you are. Dave, it wasn't that flutter. It was the bucking. In the initial double front to first 90 of the dive, while still deep in the fronts. Sorry for the confusion.
  10. I got up this morning and put my shoes on.
  11. Yeah, I know, I just wanted to make a point And yeah, unless I was paid to shoot underwater - a canon G10/11/12 and a case are good enough.
  12. Yeah, somewhere along the line I would like to invest in a DSLR and learn to take photos for realz. But that probably won't make it into the budget this year. I do SCUBA dive but not regularly (so I haven't even invested in much of my own SCUBA gear, let alone cameras to take with me). Underwater housing....for DSLR. You must be a comedian. Nikon D300s And the housing for it.....
  13. Dave, I just had my ve103 relined - it was relined factory - I felt enough tail flutter on front riser input (24" risers) to be concerned, and confirmed to be moderate flutter by other HP pilots on the ground.. Letting 3" out has resolved this issue, and back to where I prefer my brake settings on my canopy. /no flutter //no "over" control issues with mild input on transition to toggles
  14. Thanks for the obvious. Where are the facts? No need to present facts. To my knowledge no charges of libel have been made other than from you. Are you really asking people to present facts to an imaginary libel suit that you created or am I misunderstanding something? Well, like Sparky said - apparently this guy is taking Serg to court for $38,000. Over what, I dunno, but it's enough of an issue to take him to court. Tony is taking him to court - fact. Why? I dunno. Don;t care either - However, people reading this thread may use this information to to re-evaluate doing business with this individual. /I have no dog in this fight.
  15. The whole point of the jury system is that you do not get the best and brightest on the jury, nor are you supposed to. The judge may be the best and brightest in his/her field. The lawyers may be the best and brightest in their fields. But the whole point of the way the system is set up is that the jury is supposed to consist of 12 very ordinary people of very ordinary ability and intelligence. Bullshit. If I ever go to court for a medical case, I want 12 highly educated, professional people on that jury. That is a jury of my professional peers. Preferably physicians.
  16. Even though I mainly just lurk now-a-days...whomever said that's awesome! can I just openly say Cora?
  17. This is wrong. It certainly is, or (as you point out) can be, depending on the state and/or specific circumstances. Forgive me for posting this message for about the 23rd time in this forum, but: Nobody should ever take legal advice from ANYONE who is not an attorney. Period. No exceptions. Just because the person knows of (or is involved in) 1 or 2 scenarios in which "X" applies, that doesn't mean the same will apply to you. Even general rules have exceptions, and those exceptions can be critical. There are so many variables and nuances, that if you heed legal advice (which includes personal vignettes) from a non-attorney, you could wind up doing yourself great and irreparable harm. What if I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night?
  18. Didn't some of you sick SOB's back in the day use to pack led shots to increase your PE? PE? And quite a few of the little fuckers wear up to 35lbs of lead in competition.
  19. too soon? Meh, my Nikon lense is in good shape so I don't mind I want the 85 1.4g - damn thing has been backordered forever. I may just get the 24-70 in the interim.
  20. Live with??? You are forgetting the best trait - when she leaves in the morning. morning? wow arent you a clingy one Hey, if it was good the night before, we sometimes like a second helping in the morning!

  23. Now my Nikon lenses will NEVER be in stock.
