Goodbye Banks, Hello Peer to Peer Lending
wildcard451 replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
Actually took a little spare cash and put it in Prosper to play with. Over the last year, no defaults in the fist of three years I loaned out. Aggregate 13.5% return over the last year. Not something to base your retirement on, but a fun little diversion. -

Cool. I have not moved on to 450s yet. Maybe next season. -
If ~40 square inches of surface area is going to make that much difference, just think what Jenny Craig could do for some of you. Fuck Jenny Craig -- a beer gut is merely an engine for the swoop machine.

I was told to imagine throwing the opposite hip over aggressively, to arrest the turn/carve and transition to the pendulum portion and rollout. Please correct me if I am wrong/phrased incorrectly. -
Nice. Gotta love it when the factory rep talks down to people... Some sarcasm here is not entirely inappropriate. He has given an experienced jumped, who decided to make his first post on this site a vague reference that aerodyne have other hidden safety flaws, without justification, a chance to directly address his concerns to a factory rep. Now had he said "You jump a vector, shut the fuck up" I would agree with you.

The ground is tougher than I am.
-
I think somewhere in jump 8-10. Don't have a log book in front of me.
-
Yes. Socializing with other jumpers after the day's jumping is done, especially for a newer jumper, is a good way to develop the DZ friendships so one person doesn't think the other is an asshole. I thought it was just so you could sit and drink beer with the other assholes.

And you came here? -
brighter than you apparently. Put on your thinking cap! :) Ok, you slipped, You still don;t get it? READ SLWOLY: They made NO MISTAKE...But, now they can "look back" and see they had him, before anyone was hurt! Does that help? How did they "have him"? Is running a stop light an arrestable offense, now? LOL, Fuck it, I give up...twist away folks, I am trying to pat the officers on the back, and show some understanding of how they must feel! it made the news like they fucked up.."I DON'T SEE THAT"

Because people are routinely arrested and detained at traffic stops? Try and read slower... These poor guys had a killer in thier hands, but didn;t know it...That may not bother you, but most in law enforcement, would have a hard time dealing with it! Much like the guys father, that has not been able to talk to anyone about it, without crying... (Hindsight) They did not have a killer in their hands. They had a guy who ran a red light. Until we make "Minority Report" a reality, there is nothing to feel bad about.

He didn't cross any lines. YOU ARE!!! Why else are you getting pissed when someone points out that you could potentially be putting your military career in jeopardy by going against your sworn duty and associating your self with known, proven criminals! You know you are wrong and yet you continue to support criminal activity. Does your unit commander know about this??? Now that is crossing a line. -
It's got my mother, father and brother on there, but apparently I don't exist. Sweet.

Can I buy your canopy really cheap, when you die? Just remember, blood lowers the resale value. -
You can go North to Xkeys, down to Orange, east to Delmarva. All within about 2-2.5hrs. Can't go wrong at any location.

New edition of 'Huckleberry Finn' to lose the 'n' word
wildcard451 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Oh, hell no. The animal rights activists will need to change George's story, too. Remember that the Man with the Yellow Hat captured George in the wild in Africa and brought him to the big city to live in a zoo. A zoo! So inhumane. We'll need to change that one. Perhaps the Man With the Yellow Hat will find George as an infant after George's mother is killed by a predator animal and instead of capturing him, takes him to a rehab center so that George can live out his life in a natural environment without cages. You remember WAY more about Curious George than I do... She kinda has a weird obsession with monkeys. -
