  1. What's the point in saving it as a TIFF? I thought the whole purpose of working on it in the RAW format was that you can manipulate the photo more. Can you still do the same with it being a TIFF? my pics & stuff!
  2. I'm just now trying to figure out how to work with RAW files. Everyone that uses them says it's the way to go....so can some of you PLEASE give me a run down of what you do and how you do it. I have a Canon 10D, open the files with Canon Digital Professional, and have photoshop 7 but it won't recognize the RAWs even with the plugin....not sure what I'm doing wrong. thanx, JJ my pics & stuff!
  3. thanx, that's what I was hoping to hear. When doing on a zigzag machine, the center start/stop method seems like more work. my pics & stuff!
  4. why not just start at one end, go up & back & end at the same spot? my pics & stuff!
  5. exactly what I do. Not all that much work really....and I've been charging 20. my pics & stuff!
  6. mine show as .CRW from a 10D by the way...am I missing something? my pics & stuff!
  7. Same here Rob, I've come across quite a few sliders that had burrs on them. Probably not enough to cause a bad day, but enough to make me think they should have bumpers. my pics & stuff!
  8. my point is that unless you the guy and know how he is around students, it's stupid to just blatently say he was grossly negligent. My examiner taught us to keep the bellyband loose. That's NOT how the strong wants it done. Maybe this guy was taught that way. Once again, I'm not defending the guy. I think he's going through enough. no, but they are at the DZ, and they do see these things.....and for them NOT to say something...well, what the fuck. my pics & stuff!
  9. fuck yeah it is!! the back strap and the diagonal adjusters were not done up correctly or at all. he had fuck all tandems and was showing a complete display of complacency. since i heard about the crippled fellow falling out of a harness i really crank the back strap. when the diagonals and back strap are done up it would be impossible to fall out of that hole. don't get me wrong i feel sorry for the poor bastard, but shit man you can't forget what we are doing here. complacency kills, and this is a prime example! so what about the other instructors there with there thumbs up there ass NOT saying a thing? What about the S&TA, what about the examiner that taught him that way? Our examiner told us to leave the belly band loose so they don't get sick and puke on us! I'm not defending the guy, I just think a blanket "your a dumb ass" attack is not the answer. my pics & stuff!
  10. come on, do you really expect the maufacturer to take ANY of the blame? I don't think putting all the blame on the instructor is right. my pics & stuff!
  11. I watch every opening....it's nice to know what's coming. my pics & stuff!
  12. it's also where the rigs came from that were given to D.B. Cooper. my pics & stuff!
  13. I think it should have been between you and the rigger....the onwer didn't need to know this. Now, depending on the riggers reaction...maybe then tell the owner, or not. my pics & stuff!
  14. I think the bad ass part is the red neck saying "doit again justin"..... my pics & stuff!
  15. yes on the kpow, but I think Snohomish is the best....that I've seen anyway. my pics & stuff!
  16. yes, a .3 is just fine. The longer your arms are (no shit here), the better it will look. A short person with stubby arms won't get as much in the shot therefore a wider lens may be the ticket. And still....don't go in....or I'm gonna look up your hot girlfriend! my pics & stuff!
  17. sure, don't go in... my pics & stuff!
  18. make your own. Do a search on here and you'll find a lot of info on it. Mine is going on it's 3rd summer. I made a backup and still have never used it. All of it cost about 10 bucks. my pics & stuff!

  22. ummm, where are the pictures the SB is talking about? my pics & stuff!
  23. I waited almost a month and it STILL hurt. The biggy was the tandems ass against my groin.....mainly on landing and connecting in the plane. Opening was never an issue. Only wish I had done it 8 years sooner. my pics & stuff!
  24. nope, generally not the case. The tandems 'usually' pull at 5k, and I am almost ALWAYS under canopy at 3. my pics & stuff!
  25. Yeah, I'm not too worried. We've already discussed this AND I don't have a balcony. my pics & stuff!
