Eloy doesn't have team rooms?
linestretch replied to linestretch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Anyone know about this? My team wants a team room for Nationals and they are being told that they aren't bringing in any. WTF? I thought Eloy was the top dog DZ! Perris sure did take care of that.....2 years in a row. Are there any other teams having issues as well? Speak up! my pics & stuff! -

For those of you who can't find a ride, you can take the Max train from the airport to a transfer station, then take a bus to "clackamas community college", and then take the (I think it's like southeast transit) small old person bus to the Safeway VERY close to the DZ. That will get you a mile from the party at least. Go here and you can get a trip planned out. Type in from PDX and to Clackamas community college. When you get to the college, you'll take the granny bus out to red neck-ville. Get off at the safeway 15 miles down the road. Oh, and I'll be there too! my pics & stuff! -
Tandem line twists that won't come undone
linestretch replied to JohnMitchell's topic in Instructors
I had the same thing happen, under an icarus 300. I was in luck that the student was american and spoke english. We had to kick together to get out. But I was thinking I was going to chop because we were stuck flying backwards. my pics & stuff! -
ummmm, what's up with the red end of the tape? Why is the stitching ripped?....or am I seeing things? (I've never packed a skyhook so am illiterate about them) my pics & stuff!

I JUST packed up a rig that will only last 2 more months due to the cypres expiring. I know the guy, he only jumps at my DZ and is VERY limited on funds. He knows the story and is in the process of looking for another unit. Options were to NOT pack it, and he doesn't jump, or do what I did and he gets another 2 months of fun. I will get the rig back and am not worried about it.....I hope. Not too mention, it's all written on the data card. my pics & stuff!

Auto focus is all I've ever used. Sigma 15mm pretty much all the time...and a cheapo canon 28mm. my pics & stuff!

Did the Tandem Master Stand this one up?
linestretch replied to steveorino's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
he he, thanx for noticing. After seeing Steve's, I felt I needed to add to mine. You just posted it before I woke up. my pics & stuff! -
are you sure the backlight switch isn't on? my pics & stuff!
-
Yup, I agree with Danne. Don't think he's making anything up. my pics & stuff!

I don't think there is anything out of the ordinary about them, just that no one jumps them anymore. And, why would you spend the money on religning it when you are only going to jump it for for a short while. My guess would be around $200 for the relign. Probably will be just fine as is. my pics & stuff!

What do you think about Parachutists Photo Policy?
linestretch replied to pcalandra's topic in Photography and Video
this has worked for me.... decide who you like to work with better and send them all you have to offer and see what they want. THEN, send the rest to the 'other' guys and give them a chance to pick over the leftovers. OR...and this hasn't worked all that well... send them BOTH everything you have to offer on the same email and put down it's a first come first serve deal. The second option made me feel a little odd about it, so I stopped. First option has worked the best for me. my pics & stuff! -
How many jumps before you replace your pilot chute?
linestretch replied to tetra316's topic in Gear and Rigging
i have one with well over 1000 on it. It's on its 3rd kill line and I had to replace the attachment point at the bag....but it's still kicking strong. my pics & stuff! -
That's my thinking too. my pics & stuff!

YeS dOn'T....and yes, maybe either in caps or NO CAPS. In a sit fly, your are exposing the bottom of the container to the higher speeds and the dolphin has very little bridle protection. Ever seen a humorous after a pilot chute deployed under your arm? It ain't pretty. my pics & stuff!

If I recall, it was an 84. my pics & stuff!

It's a fully eliptical, semi braced canopy. The bracing is slightly different from crossed braced canopies and is only braced in the middle 5 cells (if i remember right). I'm pretty sure it's the gap between the crossfire and FX....overlapping both sides..he he. Very nice openings, and fast! my pics & stuff!

I put 3 jumps on it and really liked it. The stabilizers are inflated, and very light front riser pressure. I would be very happy with one myself. my pics & stuff!
-
yes, like maybe the one we did at Davis! my pics & stuff!

he he....I was there my pics & stuff!
