Thanks all but a big thanks goes to Jaclyn and Jack, the Americus Rotary club and local airport authority. Without the hard and I mean HARD work of these people I promise we wouldn’t have had a chance to have a camp!! Pretty neat what they pulled off just ask Chris how hard that stuff can be. Every one who attended the camp seem to be making some good progress as we went along. I hope that ya’ll all keep pushing yourself safely toward a slot on the Ga. State record. These slots won’t be as easy to come by as some might think and each and everyone of you made an investment in time and money to achieve your goal. Hope to see you all again. Back from the 160 ways and catching up I'll send the details out shortly. I'll also be PM'ing the people that have indicated that they wanted to play. Again, this will be a very laid back "camp" I'd like to get an idea of how many jumps everyone would like to do 5-7 seems to be a bit for some. PM me your thoughts and I'll try and get as much in as the group wants. We are around 10-12 now and I don't want it to go any higher - got to save room for the tandems Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -
If anyone who's been following this thread is interested in the big way camp on Saturday please drop me a line. This is a very low stress, easy going thing for people that are interested in a slot on the Ga record attempt that Chris is kicking around or just wants to learn some basic big way skills. Cost is your standard jump ticket and whatever tip you feel like giving the video guy. We have slots for a just a few more. Two weeks out. Some of us are heading to Texas for the 160 ways Tuesday.....then I come back and have Americus......I'll be lucky to even get to look at my rig in MAY! The “official” camp will start Saturday morning. How’s 9:00 in your r.w. suit with jump tickets? Plan on 5 – 7 jumps. If you have more than one r.w. suit bring it, if you have weights bring them to! Maybe Chris was on to something, this thing is growing faster than I thought it would. If your interested in a slot please PM me and let me know. The basic idea is very laid back “camp” to say the least. The actual jumps will be on Saturday and then Sunday if there is interest. Depending on skill levels and number of people that are interested we may split the group up. We’ll be working on: · Radials · Red zones · Sheep dogging · Stair stepping · Break off plans · And my all time favorite no contact skydives. Although the “organizers” of this “camp” may be suspect, this may be a good time to come see the basic of big ways. We will have video on each jump for debriefing – provided we can find a TV. The price is right, a jump ticket and perhaps a tip for the video guy, and a beer for me If you know your interested please drop me a PM with your name, number of jumps, largest completed formation, and any questions you may have. Be safe. fr Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

I have around 40 people on my list currently, 26 other people shouldnt be that hard to find As far as the Monroe record. If they have a picture no matter how "short" they held it - than THATS the number to beat IMO Be easiest to do this with one of Chris boogies but big ways slow down a boogie. But with the proper planning a 65 way s/b doable pretty fast. Big ways are a great way to get the planes going Sat morning of a boogie. 8:00 take off. So Sat morning, sunset Sat and Sunday morning. Wouldn't bother the flow of boggie either. Better idea bring the planes in Thursday night do the record on Friday and party the rest of the weekend Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

Just so I make it clear. I have zero belief that the UN will do much of anything - and actually that would solve two problems. America wouldn't be the world police force AND we wouldn't have to do a thing with the UN. OTOH if the UN actually did something the entire world would love it. Sir, I have been told worse by better than you. And although my humor may be called into question, I would rather sleep at night knowing that I may be slightly defective in that department than to awake being as judgmental as you seem to be. Seeing an issue in a single tone is easy, learning to look at it as gray takes effort. America actions are not always correct. Never have been, never will be. Name a country that is. Perhaps your incorrect America could have been invaded and destroyed by “correct thinking” countries…..but I doubt it. As for the "American world police force" as other posters have stated we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. I favor your position (I think) we should get out of world affairs. Let the UN handle it. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little -

mirage62 replied to Muenkel's topic in Speakers Corner
I really really mean this. Do you actually believe that if McCain had been elected some part of the rest of the world would have INVADED America? Some people worry about being "hated" more than others. We tend to be "hated" if a Rep is the prez. Regan, Bush (to a degree) and Bush II to a large degree. Although I understand that America plays a larger role in world affairs than many (myself included) would like it is really hard to understand why people "love" or "hate" America by the leaders. I mean I just don't care what others think enough to lose any sleep about it. But that invasion thing might have been funny Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
