Well I have to say by the third day of an event I'm getting tired.....but it isn't really the "grueling schedule" but the late nights with friends I don't get to see but a few times a year. I have a good friend who use to do big ways...he just shows up the Saturday of the event, gets to see everyone, parties and heads home the next day...... The number of jumps(+100 ways) we did at POPS Eloy 2000 Eloy 2001 Perris 2002 Perris 2004 These are the only +100 ways I don't have in my totals for the event and I's like to get them. It sounds like there will be a 150 in Deland, April the 14-17th put on by BJ Worth. Man I could get use to having big ways a couple of hours away from my house! Deland has really been performing during these big events. The packers are great, the planes seem very well maintain but most of all the staff seems to actually like having everyone around. IMO (which is worthless) it’s time to have some of this going on here on the east coast. I sure hope they are successful with it. This comment from W.B. gets brought up all the time, normally by liberals that want to make a point that one of the people who you would think is conservative supports the view that the “rich” should pay more…. Warren Buffet should pay more. (Bill Von shouldn’t be forced to pay more…but of course he should voluntarily send in more- hell he probably does!) Just got back for Lewis and Rogers 32 ways at Raeford. This is such a great event and I personally think Lewis is on to a great format. $125 registration fee. Jumps are regular priced (I believe from the dz) For registration you got World class organization Friday night meal Keg of beer Friday night Saturday night meal (Salmon) Keg of beer Saturday night Event shirt Event Dvd (mailed to each person) Gator aid (all day hell you don't even tget WATER at most events now) Chips, apples, POP CORN And ATTITUDE..... Yeah ATTITUDE - but the kind that says "Glad you came, what can I do to make this event more FUN for you?" Simple really. Nothing to hide, no short refund if all the jumps weren't made...IN FACT to come think of it we did and EXTRA jump. When was the last time you went to and event and did EXTRA jumps at the same price??? The jumps were great, Rogers "Go where you want to go but be able to perform" works well. To bad the Star War jump was run by Darth Vader..... Great great job and worth a look as a format for others? Thanks for a great event Lewis and Roger. The people that are P3 have PLENTY of experience to do an event today. The place to have it has been the issue for the most part. I don't believe there is enough people to even attempt two events in one year. ($$ and time off) You have been clear about your goal, I'm sure you'll get your chance. Don't listen to all these people. PAY A PACKER. 1. Your jumps will cost a LOT more so you will have to work harder/smarter to make more money and then you can afford to jump even MORE. 2. When you have a mal you can BLAME the packer. Of course if you really ALWAYS hire packers you have to ALWAYS go to a dz where you can find a packer and you have to tip really well so that you can ALWAYS get a packer I HATE packing and never pack unless forced into it. Like the above advise I learned to pack though so that I could if I had to...got down to five minute pack jobs and quit. I literally haven't packed in prob 4 years..... Good to know, but it doesn't make you a better or worse skydiver for doing your own pack jobs. It may or may not keep you safer depending on who you let pack or HOW good of a packer you are.
