Hey guys, It seems like the Phoenix and TSR were both great events. After talking with folks that were at both events there seemed to be nice mix of new folks on both events. My question is with the “changes” in the big way world, it appears to me that it is becoming a net plus. More and different people doing big ways will only grow the big way world. Just thought everyone would want to know that there will be coverage in the May issue of Parachutist mag about the boogie.....Oh yeah the GSR record was properly certified and rumor has it that it will be pictured also. I admire TK passion. I’m not sure if he agrees that he is a “rich” business man or not (I haven’t seen him post that) I’d bet he does pretty good. It no secret that I disagree with a lot of his positions. The thought that tax’s don’t effect business decisions leads me to believe that if TK is a big “rich” business man it’s a relatively new position for him. Many business plan based on taxes. Purchases are deferred based on tax laws, inventory adjustments are made – or not made, uncertainty in taxes absolutely influences hiring decisions. I believe that TK’s business is so far out of main stream business that what he is saying may be true for his area of expertise, I just don’t believe it is in the least bit true for “normal business”. I'm not "flaming" but ........oh never mind the darn things are just for fun anyway.... Last weekend we had someone who's USPA membership had lasp. Long story but the jump wasn't going to be "offical" I couldn't understand how important it was to some people that it be "offical" They went on line got it we did it again and it was "offical" Kinda of the same thought about living in the state the record is done..... Here's some proof (if I did this right) All I can say was it was a super strong team for a state record and lot's of new "kids" got there first big way under there belt. 64-66 then 66-66 then 62-66 (our "worse") then 66-66. A while back I had a young skydiver who had a slot on a record attempt I was doing. She wasn't comfortable with her assigned deployment altitude. She dropped off the event because of it. A year later she didn't apply for a slot (I believe) because the deployment altitude was the same for the area she most likely would be in. THAT's class, and strength. I mean that. She would like to do the record but she would not compromise her personal deployment altitude. This is the way to handle this problem.
