Well I agree, but of course this is easiest for the outcome of one group. Not saying it's wrong, just pointing out the obvious. I agree here, seperate but equal does have problems. Always has, always will. I think the real hope and most likely the real believe is that all the people that don't believe it's "right" will agree once the laws are changed...or they die off. I'm 52, in the last say five years or so I have gotten to the point that when a interracel couple walks by I barely notice....for some of you that will be hard to believe and not believe that I am not a racist. This a a reply to "all" Other than it being "easy" why is making marraige between same sex so important? I know it would be more work for our already disfunctional gov but would a federal law for civil unions fix the problem? My question bluntly is the question moral legitmacy of same sex relationship hence the term marriage? I believe completely that same sex relationships should have every legal right that a "married" couple has. Completely. Is it a forces acceptence? If we are married than we are accepted? If not than whats the big deal with the entire debate. You know this sounds cold hearted but hell I just want to stay away from them and them away from me. If I owed a dz I wouldn't have HP landing simply from the stand point that the risk isn't worth the reward. I do not believe I would lose one tandem by not allowing HP landings and the % of up jumpers that wouldn't come would be small IF I ran the dz correctly. Meaning that the HP jumpers wouldn't come but I could attract the rest. A earlier post said something to the effect that the community of jumpers and DZ's were speaking. I actually agree with that. BTW, just because if I had a DZ I wouldn't have HP landings doesn't mean I want to end HP landings but it does need to go the way of CRW. Special stuff..... I'm posting this here to add to the above and to make sure the word is out for this weekend.... Hi gang, I’ll be selecting 22 people for the POP’s world record jumps for Nov of this year. On May the 12th I will be jumping at Skydive the Farm and have 7 slots left as of today (May 3rd) we are hoping to do 18 ways. This is a no charge, other than kicking in for video, chance to come strut your stuff! We will do 5 jumps with video review. Later in the year we will be doing formation warm up jumps for the people that have attended one of the Farm events. This is open to anyone of POP’s age with desire and talent to be on a 120 way. Generally at least 500 jumps, current, and having been on a 20 way. The selection this year will be much more intense. Roger Ponce will be the head organizer and will be in charge of selections after captain sign off. It really should be a great event. PM me here if you’re interested.
