Of course you right, sometimes pretty good people do bad things. A lot more German soldiers got shot with there hands up by British soldiers (and American) than we like to admit. In the movies, for the most part, it was always the "bad" Germans that did that sort of thing. The man served his country, he died trying to help a vet. He wasn't perfect - oh and he was a Christian - which bugs some people for some odd reason. Hell he was from Texas of course he bragged!!! :) Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Yep, spot on. We could raise the taxes put some of the extra money to road repair - hiring people - and drop back when gas goes up. I wouldn't favor a large increase but just a few pennies would add up real fast. Aaaaaah what am I thinking?? Common sense approach to a problem...never work. One side has to LOSE! Anyone recall the "living wage" debate? How raising the min wage would do all sorts of wonderful things to the economy? At the high it cost me $88.00 to fill my car, today it was $37.00. (I do that about once a week) that leaves me $51.00. On a 40 hr work week that's like a $1.27 hr or $204.00 a month. Now it doesn't matter if your rich or poor that across the board (although I drive a lot) so I got to think that the difference to the economy is significant. I don't buy the "out of oil" comments, many of us have been around long enough to recall that we should be out BY NOW. But. It will run out and it is rough on the environment, it seem to me that we were making real head way toward alternative sources of fuel. I hate to see that stop. And I'll do my best to NEVER hurt Sky Mama toe....and if we do a four way...what will YOU promise? -
Couple years ago, I'm pretty sure Bill told me we would never see gas at $1.99 a gallon. Bill is pretty on top of things IMO although we disagree often. Got me thinking, is this GOOD for the USA? Wind and other power sources were taking off IMO but with oil coming down I'm afraid that these alternative sources will fall aside. I wasn't a fan of Obama's alternate power (wind, solar ect) but they aren't going to run out like oil will ONE day. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

ROTFLOL.....your kidding right? This mythical person is smart enough, capable enough, lucky enough to make 3M in a year.... and your suggesting that he never makes anything again? I'm sorry I lost you. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

I have no problem saying that three million is rich, I also have no problem acknowledging the fact that the person that makes three million a year will pay a BOAT load more taxes than the "35% more in a year than the average household makes in a their lifetime" comment. I know here that everyone wants to talk about how people that make all there money off capital gains.... and I believe that Warren Buffet SHOULD pay more - a lot more but truthfully someone that's making one million is doing WELL and if its earned income (S-corp) they'll pay around $350,000. Isn't that enough? Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

I'm starting to think that whenever there is a police shooting that the STATE (not Fed) should have a automatic review from a different county. I also more and more believe that body video should be a requirement for armed officers. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

No Dan it wouldn't. (IMO) While I don't support everything Isreal does - nor do I support ALL America does and neither do you - I support Isreal as a democracy. Certainly a democracy in the Middle East is a positive. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Way off thread... and I'll stop but basically who broke it (Bush) doesn't mean we KEEP breaking it. (Obama) We need out of the middle east. I am not an isolationist, but we need to let many parts of the world decide which direction they want to go. Support the ones that go in a direction we like, while allowing others to go in another direction. I understand history and know this can be dangerous. We need a STRONG intelligence community, and military ability. And we desperately need to stop blaming X (here generally Bush) while ignoring Y (generally Obama).... but there's a better chance in believing in Santa Claus than THAT happening.

Ok everyone keep in mind that 99% of what John says is to bait the other person. He is a master at it - I mean that. Like crazy good at it. I've grown up with weapons in the house, my children have to. For generations we've managed to not kill one another. I don't live in fear of it happening. Personally if someone comes in my house I'd rather have the gun than not. But I live in south Georgia - most of the crooks seem to be up north. I don't know why, maybe it's the restrictive gun laws? Horse shit, you can't have it both ways. If Obama had cared to leave a force behind it could have been negotiated, he had no desire to - which I agreed with but why in the hell go back? ISIS wasn't a BUSH situation totally......you could make an argument that Obama could have taken steps to stop them much earlier. Obama keep us OUT of Iraq. Quade you seem to be of the mind set that in no way could someone w a gun made any difference. I support your right to not carry (if you don't) but if you were one of these 12 do you think you would WANT to have a weapon? I'd feel for the French people. You know John your right...and I'm SURE you can come up with a perfectly sound reason why we are GOING BACK to Iraq with Obama. Bush sucked I get it, but why are we going back - and just look at the troop numbers and you'll have a hard time denying (but you will) that we are going back. I don't get it. Bush fucked up going, Obama got us out - but now we are going back. Odd. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Aaaaaaag.... I know better.....but.... It isn't the amount taxed as much as waste. It isn't the amount taxed but in how it is spent. IT IS about how one group thinks taxing the "rich" more who just don't understand it ISN'T Warren Buffet rich (but our politician and people screaming want us to believe that's who's going to "get it") that get's hammered its the two income middle class earners that get screwed. We have to protect and grow our middle class, I believe that, but buying into raising taxes on others "the rich" and letting the mega rich off the hook is nuts. Both parties screwed this up. Folks, I'm NOT suggesting disarming the population of the USA. I am suggesting that the police are dealing with a LOT of armed THUGS, that their actions (the police) are shaped by the fact that they deal with a armed criminal eliminate that other police officers - say in England - doesn't. It's time IMO to look at THAT issue. Yes we have laws on the books, enforce them, make it harder to get a gun? I don't know but what we are doing isn't working. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Horse shit. We have WAY to many with guns that shouldn't have them. Known criminals, yes there are laws that SAY they shouldn't - but they do. THAT is a "gun issue" If you think I'm anti-gun your wrong. Rush, I appreciate your passion. You obviously don't bother to read my earlier post on this issue. If you really believe that lack of gun control (not the right to have a gun) in America isn't a problem than I support your right to believe it - I just think the thought is full of shit. Disclaimer: In no way am I saying or suggesting that Rush is full of shit as a person, I am suggesting that the thought process that suggest that the gun laws are currently being enforced is full shit. In no way is this a personal attack on Rush as I am stating the THOUGHT is full of shit- Not Rush. But should you feel like this is "Bull shit" I suggest you "get some facts" before you respond as to how police FEEL threaten with the amount of weapons on the street. " Policing in an armed society" I loved that comment. To Kallend who points out often that a long time ago, in a far, far away dream land he was a police officer....

Me to...any of these would have killed your skinny ass.... Truthfully I thought this was handled well. If they had been robbed as often I'd done the same thing. I think the P.O. handled it well. Question John. Do you think this would have been handled DIFFERENT in England? (same set up, high crime area suspicious - to the store owner - person) Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Wonder why they didn't tase him? Of course if they had, and he had died it still would have been an issue. I'm not to mixed on this one, manslaughter? I don't think it was remotely intentional. I think the "victim" contributed to the situation - this is another damn good example of why I would NEVER be a law officer. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/mans-encounter-with-officer-goes-viral/vi-BBgjRSR?ocid=iehp Take a second watch this....at the start of the story you may be think WTF and if you don't go any further and listen to the reply from the police (sheriff actually) you would leave thinking "another screw up" Personally I think the store owner had the right to call 911, I believe the black man has the right to be upset - but the fact that they had been robbed 7 times....trumps not calling. The office did a good job to. Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

Interestingly enough these Ferguson threads are "out" just a few days after the grand jury decision. Had the riots, the race baiter had their say.... And nothing really changed. Michael Brown is still dead, just like Trayvon Martain. I'm in favor of body video. NOT because it w prove that Brown was unfairly killed. From the facts I believe that MB was responsible. It would have saved the people of Ferguson much grief and DW. A law called the DW law wb appropriate. Looks like this is for the most part over. Riots over a shoting turn into free jordans and 40's
mirage62 replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
I believe that describes what really happen here better than just about anything - especially the "lack of respect for others, no responsibility, no accountability issue."-for BOTH sides. D.W. may not be the greatest guy in the world, I don't know him. Ferguson may be a shithole that is run by racist white people I don't know I've never lived there. But we are creating a situation where a large part of our population is becoming very isolated. (Black community) and a larger part of the population is becoming VERY self rightest. (White community) Personally I don't think the black leadership that has been displayed in Ferguson is helping the black community. But what about the moderate white community? How do we reach out to the M.B. of the world? How do we condemn inappropriate actions (robbing a store) while not condemning and entire race? To me these are the hard questions, and as usual our leaders are playing to the far right and far left of our parties. PS- someone I think suggested that Normiss was a real liberal.....LOL....he and I have had our disagreements but he is for the most part fairly middle of the road....if not slightly passionate about his beliefs.
