Oh I'm sure I was moving around a bit but not so much backsliding, just trying to "find that sweet spot". But at least I'm no longer "darting" across the sky . Plus from this little clip, you can't tell that we got to altitude, opened the door and could barely see the ground DUE TO THE RAIN. But crazy kids that we are, jumped anyway. Well I continue to work on my head down and with my last bit of coaching with Dave Brown (got a whopping 8 jumps under my belt now) and my many many solos so not to take anyone out in air during the learning curve, I am finally finding some stability. Position is not perfect....need to get my arms more out front (and use those muscles I've been building the last year) and widen those damn legs (I fall like a frigin bullet ) but BUT had to share my first bit of evidence that I am getting there (compliments of my favorite Badfish

Mine was super duper.....My guy was home from a business trip, I made 5 coach jumps with Dave Brown, from the Skyvan, with my new Sabre2-135 on my 1 year anniversary (from making my first AFF). And I got a BONUS surprise....See attached.... Then on the way home from the DZ when we could not get into any resteraunt for miles, we stopped and got Wendy's then sat on the living room floor, eating and cuddling and watching video from days jumps....PERFECT! Welcome o-new one! I bought my very first set of gear...used and MUCH LOVED....at about jump 27. Right place at the right time but who the hell wants to pay those crappy rental fees. If you truly are in this for the long haul - start looking now. Then maybe you can take a "world tour" your first year in skydiving like I did I visited 17 dropzones, from Arizona to New Jersey to right here at home in Florida and made 397 jumps AND happily paid USPA $20 four times for each and every license - cause I was a dork. I was a dork in my first year (which I just wrapped up ) and got each license as I passed the requiremenets but you do NOT have to.....like everyone is saying - just pass the written and have all the other stuff you need associated with each one you wanna skip..... I did it once and will NEVER forget it and I can only PRAY it will not happen again. I made the jump but had nightmares when thinking about what COULD have happened . I think I was more embarassed at the time and shrugged it off but my heart instantly started pounding (I had made a mistake) and I thought about "what if" way too much the rest of the day. I now check and double check and check again

YIPPY.....new canopy came in the mail today. Now I just have to be patient and hook it up and pack that slick little sucker. Might have to skip work all together on Friday...to have one of the guys make sure I hooked it up right, and then maybe start jumping early...... Is it Friday yet? I'm not sure how you did the program but I did NOT have to count anything for the first few months. There was a food list in the book that I copied and hung on my frig. Each meal I would pick something from each column and BAM....instant meal. When you start to get lean THEN you may need to fine tune the program, which I did, 1.5 years into it. EAS of course wants you to buy there products but it's not a must. But personally, I love the shakes. Quick, easy, tasty and you don't have to think so much about planning a meal. Exercise is the other KEY to making the "program" work. You need all the pieces to the puzzle to see the whole picture. No if's, an's or but's. What that meant for me was getting up at 4:30 AM and hitting the gym before work since I am not a night person.....THAT is where the true dedication came in but when 2 months into it, people at the gym start commenting on "how ya look", it is all the motivation you need. OK...enough babble. I just really believe in the concept of what Bill has to say...or I finally wised up and just DID IT. Nothing like looking in the mirror and liking what you see......FINALLY! If I was brave enough I might even be willing to share some pictures. I got one from when I started and then one a year later....HOLY COW...but good for me! Hey Mike...actually I have followed Body For Life for almost 3 years now. I started back in 8/01 at 32.7% body fat and as of 12/03 I was at 17.9%. Lots of hard work and patience but very worth it.....Not just a diet - it really is a way of life, and a rather easy one to follow. As a follow up, for those chisseled abs, you should check out his brothers book called "AbSolution"...Kick ass abs...but that is also when you are at your peak fitness, still not there yet.
