    Also looked up the author, his background is high-energy physics and particle physics. He's not even a climate scientist, he doesn't even list his own paper on his list of publications. Not very cited, either. But I doubt brent would know that, nor even do the slightest bit of work reading the full text.

    We're still waiting on a list of brent's inventions, but Hanlon's razor is usually a good guideline in general: "never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity"

    And again there's the asymmetry of effort - ever notice, by the time you post your rebuttal, they just abandon their point and change the topic? Then come back to it in a few weeks as if their point hadn't been rebutted at all.
