There is many people, who has erased their profile after seeing how personal data in this forum was abused by other posters. It is sad, but sometimes it can be risky to say too much on the net, specially if you post from work. edited to clarify

Have you thought that it could be HER country as well. And maybe she is burning HER flag. I think you have not read the burning flags thread, you shoul. It is qute entertaining.

I think you are very naive about how real life works. Private health insurance is about a corporation trying to make money from you, which is allright unless it is your health what it is at stake. The moment that you stop being an incoming for them and you became an expense, possibly due to an expensive illness, they will do what is legally possible to get rid of you. Besides, Private insurance must be paid wether you work or not, and it can be hard to pay if you have no job. And maybe you have no job due to an illness that private insurance refuses to heal because you cannot pay because you don´t have a job. Fortunately, for now, i have put in taxes towards public healthcare much more than what i have gotten back. And i know that at this very same moment, someone is abusing the system and enjoying my taxes. But guess what, if i ever find myself in need of a VERY expensive treatment, i know that i have public healthcare where the money will NEVER be an issue. Just for laughs, go to your favourite private health insurance, and ask how much it costs... Do not forget to mention words like HIV, Cancer, Skydiving, Back problems, etc.

But now the IBM stock holders will be a bit richer, won´t they? I guess 14.000 americans will have to move to india if they want to keep working.

House OKs flag desecration amendment... PASS IT!
Botellines replied to rhino's topic in Speakers Corner
I think Rhino should be the next president of the United States. He has the rare ability to make the reps and the dems join files (even if it is against him) Everybody remember the thread about the marines getting the bounty on OBL´s head? and now this one. RHINO FOR PRESIDENT... -

House OKs flag desecration amendment... PASS IT!

Actually you are wrong, most of the world thinks americans are such assholes for statements like the one you said above: "the greatest nation on the face of the earth" Specially when the majority of those who speak like that have never traveled abroad other than in a military context or a short vacation. Of course that obsession with Money, wars, and oil does not help much to your image. By the way that BS of America love it or leave it, is just that, bullshit. If that ever happened, the true patriots will move to Canada and leave the U.S to root. -
In the News: Brutal Deaths of Iraqii Civilians

Heeeey, chill out dude, i never mentioned anything about paedophilia. You said that you couln´t belong to KKK because you where not white, and all i was saying was that if MJ could do it, you could do it too. (Meaning becaming white). Geeeez. In Spain, when someone gets defensive for no reason about a controversial subject, we ask him if he has a secret. Do you have the same saying in Venezuela? -
Precisely, since he was found not guilty, the ban should not be put on him, but on the parents. I didn´t explain myself correctly, obviously MJ cannot be around kids because either MJ will abuse them, or (more likely) their parents will abuse the sistem trying to get MJ money, so there should be a ban on the parents to avoid this circus.

Is this some of the old macho "with us or against us shit"? Come on, you can do better than that. What is your true allegiance, by the way? Just so you know most people here are neutral and will side with whoever has been wronged. Think about this when you wonder why the U.S is losing all the allies. No worries mate, if MJ could do it, you can do it too, don´t let skin color stop you... Oh, so what you are doing now is to defend your nation. My bad, i thought that this week´s reason to go to war was to free Iraq. -
Probably the jury saw how much those kids parents wanted MJ money and realized that their testimony was greatly influenced by the prospect of making money. Now, if i was the judge, i would put a ban to all the parents that forbid the to take their kids close to MJ.

30 drug tests is not representative of anything. Not even 100 or 1000 for that matter. The question is: Is it possible to give a false positive? If so, Why would you put yourself at risk unless it was absolutely necesary?
-
I have a question. Let´s suppose that you are in a party where some dudes are smoking pot, and accidentally you breath some of the smoke. Would a drug test turn out positive? If there is any risk that the test could turn positive, that is a false positive, i am totally against it. If not i am just against it.

I am somewhat divided about this issue. For once, Japan was the attacker. I am against all sort of violence unless it is strictly for self defense, so i cannot aprove any tactic by what i consider attackers. Anyway, from a tactical point of view i think that wether it is in japan, palestina or Iraq is a desperate measure that sometimes it could be the only measure. So i guess it is alright if we forget about the surrounding circumstances. But for sure i wouldn´t ever say a kamikaze is a coward. He may be wrong about his ideals, but they are his ideals and have the balls to defend them. I have another opinion though of those who send kamikaes to loose their lives.

Nice job avoiding responsability. So how did they make you use WMD on them? By not doing what you wanted them to do?
-
[sarcasm] Yeah, the true brave man and heroes will not die for what they believe. Brave people picks on enemies who can take out easily by more advance weaponry. [/sarcasm] Edited to remark the unfortunate words: "mind numbed idiot". Truly unfortunate for nowadays people are willing to believe pretty much anything. I mean, what is the excuse this month for the Iraq war?

but, but, but, but.... There is always a but in your talk that will make a distinction beetwen terrorist actions and U.S actions. even if the result is the same and therefore the diferences are not that important. Next thing you will say is that the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima nad nagasaki was not a terrorist action. -

Botellines replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
You are seeing the term terrorism in the narrowest possible way, which coincidentally is the only one that benefits the U.S. Many would consider the dropping of two 500lb bombs on a restaurant located in a residential aerea as a terrorist act. Even if the U.S firmly believed that at that point SH and family was there. -
You have to be kidding... There has been abuses, tortures and murders by american forces against civilians in Guantanamo bay, Abu Grahib and Afghanistan, yet only a handful of soldiers have been brought to trial, and certainly justice has not been done for the charges are ludicrous. They shoul root in jail, but i think that the most severe sentence was, i think, 6 month in jail.

Dude, i remember when you were giving another poster a bad time about posting some news without giving an opinion... I see a double standard here. Anyway, what is your point? if it is that terrorists are getting almost as proficient as the U.S. forces when it comes to kill civilians, i think we will agree. -

Border Patrol Agents Ordered To NOT Do Their Job
Botellines replied to Kennedy's topic in Speakers Corner
It is more easy than that. If you want to stop illegal inmigration, the only way to go, is to stop making the U.S so atractive to illegal inmigrants. You can do that by making sure that employers do not hire them (fine them to hell). You only have to look at the rest of the countries with illegal inmigration problems to realize that none of the other solutions will work. Not even your beloved minuteman project. Now, will your government want to stop the cheap labour that make bussines owners rich? I see here a conflict of interests. -

El equipo olimpico iraqui me dijo que no hubiesen cambiado la vida de algunos miembros de su familia para poder jugar en las olimpiadas. Debe ser una cosa occidental. I hope you understand Spanish better than English. If not, it must be your reading skills.
