The leases granted were flawed, but encroaching upon the sacntity of a contract is just absurd to me from a legal standpoint. What if your landlord came to you and said this: "I screwed up signing the lease. I meant to increase the rent by $500/month and include a 5.5%/annum increase in the rent if you choose to extend. My eye is swollen to the size of a softball and everyone comments on it...it caused me no small amount of trouble getting my own eye thru customs. They also say my yodelling is top-notch. Beauty is in the ear of the beholder... For those who don't know, my dear sweet Xena tells the truth. I'm moving to the mid-east for a year - probably a short while more. Right now I'm burning some vacation days and enjoying myself immensely. Later this month I'm flying out of Cairo to the small island country of Bahrain. Haven't been there since '98, but it's not too bad of a place. A helluva nice place as far as the Middle East goes, actually. Nice job I'm going to as well - right up my alley. I'll be about the Mid East and Horn of Africa over the next year - and probably back to the states on business once or twice too. Hopefully nobody wants to play target practice with me during that time period. If so, I hope they are tall and their aim sux. Bahrain is really safe for the most part. My eye is really better.
