Go to a baseball game in Hiroshima. Great fun. Kyoto and Nara are a fun weekend trip. Fukuoka is also a fantastic city to visit and easy to get to. Beware of habusaka Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

Halliburton's move abroad should be a warning shot to those who seek to use the tax code punitively towards corporations. The corporate tax code in the US is not conducive to companies being located here in the flat world environs of today. KBR is a Halliburton subsidiary. If you have issues with a sole-source government contract, you should cite why you disagree with the J&A signed by the cognizant Competition Advocate. To which one are you referring? Women; guys trying to chat you up in public places?
TheAnvil replied to Misternatural's topic in The Bonfire
Bah! I haven't seen you in about five years since I was up in Kapowsin, but think you and Andrea both have probably got more than a few guys wanting to chat! Even if you weren't cool as hell, when you make pies and jumpsuits as well as you do, men of any age want to chat with you! Still have my awesome Vmax, though I haven't jumped it in a while being overseas and all... -

And you refused many invites from me to go Christmas carolling when I loved so close by...tsk tsk tsk. I would have chatted in between carols and sips of tequila... Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! -
I've always wondered at the massive hatred poured out of the left at Karl Rove. Even before the Plame non-scandal (Armitage charged, anyone? No? Ahhh...oh well) he was absolutely despised by the leftists. Why, I wonder? Hope he enjoys life after the limelight he's received over the past few years. He needs a break. I think you all should take a closer look at the Pakistani situation. Several recent articles in The Economist and Foreign Affairs have highlighted the situation there, as have a couple of recent books. I believe this talk of action within Pakistan sans support of the Pakistani government and military is absurd - little more than a political stunt to play upon the ignorance of the electorate, many of whom couldn't even spell ISI much less comprehend its role. What is amazing is that the same people lambasting GWB for basing his invasion of Iraq upon the best intelligence available (which turned out to be false) and are giving Hillary a free pass for voting in favor of the war for the same reason, now wish us to launch military action into Pakistan based upon intelligence. Dimes to dollars these same people have no idea about Pakistan's military structure, political structure, and more than likely don't even know if B. Bhutto is man or woman or anything else about Pakistani national politics. Do a bit of reading on the subject, drop the cookie cutter paradigm of foreign policy and use of military forces, and think on the matter for a bit. I'd love for forces to clean out Waziristan and other border areas, but right now it is not possible without severe repurcussions. In general, I think presidential candidates, regardless of party, should steer clear of foreign policy statements such as the leftists are making now. The DoState recently had a high level GS make such a statement as well, I do believe. It's bad for America to show a dichotomous hand with regards to foreign policy - a main reason that Rep. Pelosi's venture into Syria and the other leftists who met with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt were so damaging and goat-fuck stupid. Take a look at the article Obama wrote for Foreign Affairs magazine. Then read the one Mitt Romney wrote. One is at the high school level at best, the other is at the graduate level (Romney's). You hit the nail on the head with his foreign policy experience. His staff and the people who would likely advise him as president wrote the article for him, undoubtedly, but I think it very telling. He is not ready to lead the nation in that regard. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

Rockets are the dominant insertion method. Here's a pretty cool one. I've been aboard and they've quite the impressive set-up: http://www.sea-launch.com/ Satellite insertion is one key reason why launch sights close to the equator are of strategic importance - though if you've a mobile launcher like Sea-Launch you can take your rocket to whatever latitude you desire.

Read the man's article in Foreign Affairs magazine, and you'll get a glimpse about how little the man knows of foreign policy. He wrote a nice populist piece - but not one to be taken seriously. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

YouTube Debate Not Respectful Enough for Romney to Particpate
TheAnvil replied to BIGUN's topic in Speakers Corner
I watched part of the debate and was disgusted by what I saw (no great surprise, given who was debating). The mere fact that questions regarding Obama being 'black enough' and how federal response would differ if a mostly-white city had been hit by Katrina were posed gives credence to Romney's response. I DO like the idea, however. CNN screening of the questions ruined what small portion of the debate I watched. Due to what I did see, though, I can definitely see Romney's point. I think it a bad move for him to bow out like that, however. He seems to be among the best of the bunch on the right side of the house. I enjoyed his article in Foreign Affairs - especially as contrasted w/Obama's article in the same issue - and like his health care reforms that have been enacted in MA. -
If memory serves, didn't Speaker Pelosi state that earmarks would be eradicated in the Dem-run House? Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

Perhaps. I don't think it would be the foreign leaders' own feelings getting in the way so much as the feelings of many of his constituents. Most guys at that level, regardless of political party affiliation, are not stupid, and realize they have to deal with people they detest. I think it would have implications for relations with Arab states, but I don't think it should be a single deciding factor by any means. I think a candidate's plan for domestic policy should and will shape the nature of elections in the near future, though the Iraq war will play a large part as well.

You'll eventually get used to the long hours. Try doing some stretching during the day and a wee bit o yoga in the AM. You'll be amazed at what it does. You can also alternate the source of caffeine - green tea and coffee work well.

Politicians and lawyers being evasive and misleading are not doing so under oath in a courtroom... Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

Not condescending - merely correct. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

You're correct - he was convicted. And Mr. Clinton did plea bargain, admitting to giving deliberatly evasive and misleading testimony. I've read The Constitution often, thank you. It is a superb document. How IS Marc Rich doing these days? Out of morbid curiosity. Do you call those bemoaning Mr. Libby's pardon who did not roar with equal intensity about Mr. Rich's pardon hypocrites, perchance? Do you find Mr. Rich's pardon a slap in the face of the Constitution? Out of mere curiosity... Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!

If you'd actually read the Constitution, you'd find a clause in article two, section two I believe about the President having the power to pardon. Availing himself of that power is hardly being contemptuous of the Constitution. Try again. Your hero, El Jefe Clintonista, all but admitted to perjury in his plea bargain. Plea bargaining your way out of perjury seems a bit more slimy than being pardoned of it, especially after reading a bit about the Libby case. All those bemoaning Libby's crime and not condeming El Jefe Clintonista for an identical one are hypocrites. Period. Try reading the Constitution. Superb document. Your war on the middle class is right out of your favorite news station - the far left leaning CNN. Lou Dobbs. Watched an episode or two of that show. Morons who get themselves into debt and then can't pay it off and whining is what I saw. Call that a war on the middle class if you like, but this thing called personal responsibility is a really amazing thing. Those who have and exercise it, succeed for the most part. Those who don't...don't. Duuuuuuuuuuhhhhh. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!!
