    I have jumped at ASC and have had a great time doing it. I have nothing bad to say about the time I spent there, and I met some really cool people. They also have some kickass facilities. I just dont see why they need to advertise so deceptively like they do. It makes me feel guilty being at a place that gives people directions from Mississippi and doesn't tell them the directions take them to Georgia. I really wish they didn't do this, it would make the place more enjoyable for myself. I don't think they need to do that either.     The directions on http://www.skydivebirmingham.com/ bring you to ASC in Cedartown, GA. This is more than a half hour away, according to Mapquest its 2.5 hours. Why wouldn't the owner's directions on this website take you to his dropzone 30 minutes from Birmingham? I am a drop zone customer. I can tell people what I think about their marketing tactics. You don't have to listen. I haven't said anything that wasn't true. You don't see anything wrong with advertising one dropzone under 13 different locations under 4 different states? If theres nothing wrong with it, whats the matter with pointing it out, telling people where they are really going?     I made the number so large because I didn't want this to degrade into a "Well, a million dollars really isnt that much money anymore" debate. People do trust their cypreses probably too much. Would you jump out with no main and your reserve ripcord cut, with only a properly maintained and turned on Cypres to save you?     But we are humane and they are not. That is why we are punishing them.     I have been packing sabres for almost 100 jumps and I have found from my personal experience that rolling the nose is counterproductive. I get the best openings by not rolling the nose, just pushing the unrolled nose pretty far into the canopy and pulling the slider toward you before pulling the topskin around. This has always given me a nice snivel and a decent opening. Whenever I have tried rolling the side 4 cells and stuffing them into the center I get spanked. Edit-- make sure not to push TOO far or you mess up all your nicely placed lines and you probably risk a malfunction.     Umm, I dont see a connection between "adventurous" and "intelligent", and I certianly did not intend to sound superior in any way. I just said that the same genes that give white people ADD might make them bored with things easily and look for more exciting things. I certianly didn't want to make the white domination of the world sound good. As an aside, black people are black by genetics, and leaving hot areas will not change their genetics to make them white after a while.     Maybe this is a crazy theory, but I read once that the reason white peole get ADD more often is the same reason that ancient white people moved out of Africa to Europe and eventually the whole world. We get bored easily. Its in our genes. Maybe this craving for excitement is the reason skydivers are primarily white.
