What lens did you use. Have you changed the photo in any way?. Eddie.
-
I take it that if it's wired shield and red and the lens is set to MF, it won't auto focus, Or even try to. And as someone already said , the 2.5 that comes on the tongue switch , it will have to be one or the other.
-
I'd only like to use the manual focus with the tongue switch, so I think the two pin will work fine. so like Quade said shield and red. thanks.
-
I don't mean to drag this topic on and on, but how have you wired up your female socket on your canon cable to be able to switch from AF to MF. I thought It would have to be one or the other.
-
Hi Quade, you say (shield+red) How does this work. In auto focus the shutter has to be pressed 1/2 way to auto focus, but say you set the to manual focus, don't the wires have to be set up for one or the other. eddie

thanks skydog. eddie

How many wires inside the remote switch cable??. I've got the RS-80N3 and before I chop I'm just trying to get more info. I've got the tongue switch with the 2.5 plug on the end. And have a 2.5 socket coming. What wires did you use from the remote cable. Are they coloured. thanks eddie.

Skydog,How many wires in the canon remote switch, what colour wires did you use on the new 2.5 socket?. thanks.

It seems that more of you are going for the Sigma 14+15mm lenses than say the canon20mm, Why??. thanks.

"continuous shooting 3 frames a second for up to 9 frames in each burst???." Could someone please put this into plain english. ??. Will a Canon 10D be good enough for shooting tandems , how many shots can you take in freefall? etc. Thanks

No I was not the one wearing the helmet.
-
Someone asked if they could swoop me today wearing a camera helmet with a still ontop but just the nasty looking L bracket on the side, no video camera, I declined the offer. I don't think I was being over cautious, do you? I think I might have offended him.

New Skydiver's Question...About Reserve Chute
spencer replied to Kramer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
159- 1.It happened on jump 30, the jump before my h&p and getting my A licence on the same day, so two cases of beer. On a student rig so only a one handle job. -
No there is no helmet showing with the .03 lens.
-
Got my FF2 today, I've put a pc101 with a diamond .03 in it. About 8mm of the diamond sticks out of the box, far less than any other lens. I can't see any way to ajust the camera angle, but with the .03 it will take some doing to miss the shot. K2 are on to a winner with the 3ring cutaway system . I had the cameye fitted by them , a very neat job. The only thing on the outside of the helmet is the tiny little red switch. eddie.

I take the ring release system chin cup comes loose and you have to fit . What happen's to the excess plastic ratchet stap?, do you have to cut it to size, and is the release system easy to fit to the helmet??.

I had my first go at some head down yesterday, and I think I had it for about three seconds, it felt really strange but in a nice kind of way . I've have had No coaching, but speaking to someone today about what I tried to do with my legs, he used the word daffy, I feel I want to put one leg in front of the other and feet pointing the same way, just because it seemed the easyiest, he said some people do it that way and others point feet in opposite direction. Any thoughts , and yes I will soon be getting 1on1 coaching. Thanks eddie

Well don't keep where you found them to yourself then, tell us all where.

is it logical to do your first jump AFF?
spencer replied to CaneSpider's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
How can anyone know they want to go through an entire course if they've never jumped before, If anything happens and your put off after Aff1 where will you go from there. There's alot to take in and learn on one's first ever jump. Do a tandem where you'll be more likely to relax, letting someone else do all the work, and just enjoy the ride. Maybe even two Tandems before starting with AFF.I have seen people walk away from the sport after AFF1. It was all to much to soon. Some people can pull it off, but it's a shame for the ones who can't. eddie. -
