setting up a ring site for left or right eye.

when I started doing camera, I set up my ringsite, for my left eye, which was my siting eye, as I dont have equal vision. what Id like to know is can I set up my site for my right eye, and still get the shot, I dont see why not. as long as the view finders line up with the site, I know you have to make allowances for close up and distance, I understand all that. Your thoughts please, thanks -

"mix it up depending on obstacles". Bloody hell that sounds like your landing area is a obstacle course. I guess you get used to landing a certain way. Getting to the set up point, and then you must have a idea before getting there which way you will start your turn, to the right or left.

Do people prefer one way or the other, are stronger in one direction, or mix it with both.

But a natural talented good swooper, might not know the technical side of swooping, and will not understand when things dont work out or go wrong, because they are relying only on there talent to perform. And when the presure is on, the cracks will start to appear. The natural will pull off the long one , but the guy who has worked hard and can understand what and why it happens and has a rock solid technical swoop will be more consistent over a peroid of time, not a flash in the pan. I think.

Does anyone know of this DZ, I did part of my aff there about 7 or 8 yrs ago when some one called Howard ran it, he was a pilot as well, and I think he owned the place as well. does anyone remember the staff back then. I would like to look up one of my Instructors, I think his name was Tony a young lad, who I think worked as a model when he wasnt jumping.

Can you teach someone to swoop, when does that first 180 come, and the 360. Are some people doing 360s after 200 jumps, and others still doing the down wind cross wind into wind after 5,000 jump. Horses for courses. I have seen swoopers have a influence on other jumper, who then try and I have visited in hospital. These can be instructors who fcuk up. Ive seen it. I know your going to say canopy courses, but is there some way of teaching yourself as well. Im no 20yr old who is going to scream in , I want to jump again, if anything Im a little over conservative. But I just love to watch it, and long to be able to do it. I have over 2,500 jumps, but feel no closer to swooping than when I had 500 jumps.

Sunpath web site says this takes up to a 135. so I guess a 149 is abit on the big side, I know its only 9sqft, but any thoughts would be helpfull. thanks

If I had your attitude, Id never jump again. And thank you for letting me know I can jump what ever I like. Thats very kind of you. The Sq ft were talking about, if your in that much shit, game over.

So how bigger reserve that a main should someone jump. in your view. Taking into account, pull height, jump Nos, where you jump. type of mal. Are you saying no one should jump a smaller reserve than there main.

Iam looking at second hand gear, mains and reserves. Im getting a 135 main, and was looking at a 126 reserve, so I can down size to a 120 main, at a later date if I choose to. which would even things out size wise.

Container size TJNK, will take a pd126r, how about a Optimum of the same size, am I right in saying the Optimum pack volume is smaller. thanks

Like they say, new comers leave there brains at the front entrance of a DZ, and there are plenty of people like bigway, sitting on the fences waiting for new prey to enter. What goes around as they say.

In a nut shell what differences would I notice in flying the storm to a Spectre both same size canopys 135s as i have done over a 1000 on a spectre. Id like to stick with the 7 cells. Thanks.

Another will it fit Q, Iam looking at buying a container, harness size C17, there web site says will fit up to 5.11ft. Is there anyone out there 6ft who jumps a C17. Im no where near dz to try any.

Iam looking at buying a pd126 reserve, second hand with a DOM - Feb 93, it seems along time ago, have there been any changes to them since then. or is it just the same as the ones they make now. thanks
