    They actually say the best place to go now is not a desk or doorway like we have been taught all of our lives. If you are at work........they say the safest thing is to find a big stack of copier paper to lay next to. Seems that the paper does a really good job of not compressing when heavy stuff lands on it and usually gives a safe zone next to it. Think about it for a minute, it really makes sense. Wish I could draw a diagram in this post so you could see what I mean. Dom

    If it was last seen at SQ3, maybe you can try calling SQ1 and see if maybe it was sent there? Maybe it got mixed up with gear that was shipped there after SQ3 closed. I am not sure if they sent stuff to SQ1 or not, but it is a possibility. Maybe even SQ2 in Eloy. Dom

    To clarify that statement. He did not do 4 jumps at the Keys Boogie. It was a boogie, it was in Marathon, but it was not the "Keys Boogie". It was smaller Boogie but on in January of '06 that was sponsored by AeroOhio and ran by divnswoop. I was there working demos for Aerodyne. Dom

    What a sad thing this is. I have met the TI in this case a few months before this incident happened. I guess it is to late, but damn dude stand up and take responsibility for your mistake. Now Strong and skydiving as a whole suffer, because you couldnt just admit that you screwed up and take responsibility for your lack of attention to detail. What a shitty thing. This is not Strongs fault, but sits (at least in my opinion) squarely on the shoulders of the TI. Pisser. Dom

    Of course they would have been able to do the record without the tunnel. The tunnel is a great way to accelerate your progression, but to think that people wouldnt be able to do this without the tunnel is not true. It may have taken them a bit longer, but it would have been done regardless. The thing that has kept FF from doing these types of formations earlier is quite simply, that they were not interested in doing this type of thing until fairly recently. Free Flying was always the "fun" discipline. No plan, just go out and jump and have a good time. Once the Flyboyz and Alechemey started putting big ways together it actually took off pretty fast. It is interesting to see how FF has progressed over the last 5 years or so into a more structured form then it use to be. Dom

    Jack, I just saw this post. Mike Turso sent me a message about Dewey. We have lost so many from that small little dz tucked away in Shelton. Tommy, Dewey, Walt, Angie, Bob. No matter how long ago those Blueskies days were, it always seems like yesterday doesnt it? RIP Dewey. God Bless you. Dom

    Guys, guys........ This thread has gone on for more then 5 years with out any bickering. So let's not start it now. Sangi, there are many many differences between the 3 rigs. I have never heard anyone say they look alike in the past and suggest you get your hands on one and really look. They are all good rigs, but very different especially when you get down got the details of them. To other peoples point about cars having similar parts and pieces. It is true that all rigs have similiarities. There is only so many ways to build a rig. Maybe Kelly can jump in and explain to you just how different his rig is and maybe even some of the similarities for you. Dom

    At least they didnt allow your stuff to be stolen. That just happened to me in Dec. when I moved here to NY. They are trying to only pay me .60 per pound for damages. My stuff was not damaged....it was freaking stolen!!! Dom
