I think that the story was in actuality more about T.L.J's character then the movie showed. Your right it was NCFOM. As far as what happened to certain characters... I thought it fit right into Antons nature. Dom

What did you think of the ending? I mean what did you think it was all about? Dom

Paul, you are confusing Twitter and DZ.com Dom

I got hit in the face once and my eye had a twitter for about 10 minutes afterward. Dom

I havent read the book yet, but I think the movie probably focused more on the action then Tommy Lee's character. Does the book take his viewpoint more? Dom

I will thanks. Dom

Since we are talking about movies.... how about Rob Zombies Halloween?

What did you think of it. I thought it was really good, if you like that sort of movie. Put a little bit of a different twist on Michael Meyers. Dom -
I loved it! My favorite part was in the very beggining when Tommy Lee Jones is doing the voice over. "You have to say............................ I'll be a part of this world" Dont know why I like that line so much, but it stands out in my mind for some reason. The ending to me was a bit of a let down the 1st time I watched it, but like Conundrum said. It got better the more times I watched it, and I think I actually got the ending finally. Dom

I know it is cold and snowing today, but if you like Ice Cream, check out Emack & Bolios. Not sure how many stores they have in NYC, but the one on Amsterdam between 78th and 79th is really good!!! Dom

Everyday when I am on the subway. I hear them say House-ton St. It cracks me up everytime. I always think of the folks from Texas and how it must drive them crazy when they hear that. Dom

NO!!! Sorry if that wasnt clear. The calls I got where from customers of the other dealer. SQ1 is up front and honest. They do ask questions and put jumpers under the correct gear. YOU CAN TRUST SQ1!!!!!!!!!! I went back and edited that post for clarity. YOU CAN TRUST SQ1!!!!!! This exact scenerio actually happened to SQ1 years ago. Some guy bought some gear using a stolen CC# and the UPS driver gave the gear to the guy outside of the building. The CC company took the money back from them (SQ1) as well. The difference is that Kate and Tony would not have demanded the gear back or threatened to send the FBI after the next guy to buy the gear. They wrote it off as a loss with their insurance and that was that. If the gear showed up today in the possession of someone that had nothing to do with the original fraud, they would do the right thing by the jumper and let them keep the gear. Dom

Your not a yuppie bitch. But it sounds like you have a new dz.com name. Dom

I think that the OP should find out first if Ralph was paid off by his insurance company. Although your idea is a very good one. My concern is that the dealer will get "paid" twice on this. Once from his insurance company and then again from good hearted jumpers helping out a skybrother. Watch out Dirty Harry!!! Dom
-
He is not the only victim. In fact, I am willing to bet money that he did not follow proper business practice in this sale and has gotten insurance money for this already. The OP in this thread is not a thief and should not be treated like one. The email that you posted shows that he is being thought of as one. You tell me, if someone follows bad business practices and then claims insurance (not a fact, but prove me wrong), then DEMANDS that gear back from a totally different party, who is the thief? As for your personal experience with the dealer. Sounds like he treated you well when you started, but I can tell you many stories of him..... lets just say, NOT treating customers well. I worked for SQ1 for 3 years and had many, many phone calls from people that, didnt get what the paid for when dealing with the dealer in question in this thread. I have personal friends that actually bought "new" gear from this dealer and when they had their riggers inspect the gear, they found out it was not new. I had a female friend of mine that never was able to get her money back, even after she returned the canopy. Dom
-
I guess this is just Karma coming back to Ralph, for all the "new" gear he has sold new jumpers over the years. Threatening the FBI is so over the top it is laughable. Like you said, if Ralph had followed the conditions of his merchant agreement, he would never be in this position. Karma is a bitch. Dom

One of my Aunts has done a LOT of research on our family tree. I have a 3rd or 4th cousin that has actually went as far as publishing a book on our family. It took her almost 20 years to put it all together. Lots of interesting things in it. The thing that stood out most was that, that part of my family has owned a LOT of Pubs and Inns. Seems we were a very addictive lot as far back as we can find. Then there was the huge castle in England that fell out of the family at some point. Probably drank themselves into debt and had to sell it to pay off bills. Dom

Big problem with cow pastures is the damn fences!!! We used to jump into a friends place back in the day for holidays and special occasions. I was landing once in one of the many cow pastures in front of her place. I thought I was clear and all was good. Then all of a sudden I see a barbwire fence separating two fields. The damn thing looked like it just kinda stood up right in front of me. I stuck my legs out and got as small as I could. Lucky that my feet broke out the middle strand and I went right between the other two without a scratch. Well at least to everything but my pride. I had to sit in a pile of cow shit until my friends came over and helped me out of the shitty situation though. Dom

I think that everyone here is posting the 1st pic they find of their "coat of arms". They seem to be all coming from the same site. I have a real copy of mine that was given to me by my father. It is nothing like the one that comes up by doing a simple search online. Dom

Not sure what you mean by "belly slide", but going head down while diving to a RW formation is not a great idea. Biggest problem is that you are not going to see the formation and probably end up below it and in a dangerous place. The speed at which you would be going when truly head down is going to be much faster then a person that is diving after a base. You may cause a collision. If you take your question to the RW forum, you will get a lot of really good answers about how to do that. Dom
-
Flying the base in RW is not easy if you are doing it right. It takes a lot more then just falling and hanging on to someone. Dom
