I don't think it was the camera that melted the film. I've seen pictures of you. It's just that you are so hot the film can't always stand it! O.K. Maybe I have a little crush. Dom

I went through the course in Wiesbaden, Germany, and didn't make a jump in the US of A until 1978 __________________________________________________________ I went through Benning for Basic Airborne training. The best was JM School. Three weeks TDY in Hawaii. The course only took two weeks and the other week was spent on the North Shore skydiving at Dillingham. Thanks 1st SFG! Dom

Glad to here there are other guys that feel the same way. I was out of the sport for almost six years. I quite my good paying job and now live in a trailer right off the DZ. I make shit money but I get to talk to skydivers all day and I am the happiest I have been in a long long time. God Bless all paratroopers! Dom

Damn I hope I didn't open up any closed wounds. Just read SEBAZZ's post about the record or the effects of trying. Shit happens. Be thankful it was a cutaway and not a reserve handle in the door or right out the door. Ala Cheryl from Passion 8 back in 97. OUCH! Dom

Lisa just told me where to look. Dom

How did the record attempt go last weekend? Maybe someone already asked. We are getting ready for Saturday. It would be nice to know what we need to do. Dom

___________________________________________________________ Still miss standing in the door of a C-130 on a night tactical as JM. ___________________________________________________________ You are right about that! That is one of the few things I miss about military jumping. Standing in the door of a C-130 or a 141. Nothing like it! Dom

My uncle was the biggest influence on my going to jump school. He was a Ranger and PAthfinder during Vietnam. He was always talking about jumping out of planes and killing people. So off I went. I guess being in Airborne units for so long I started to get bored w/ static line jumps. When I finally made it to an SF unit, one of the E-7's had his own DZ. He got me drunk one night and dared me to come out to his DZ. My FJC lasted about a half hour (no kidding). Then they put me in a c-182 had me climb out in the middle of a rain cloud and I have never looked back. Looking back at my life, I see now that I have always been the happiest being in, around and especially jumping out of planes. I think we are all born to it in some way. It just takes us awhile to figure it out. My first memory of skydivers was standing in formation at jump school and watching the demo team land by the 250 ft. towers and being yelled at by the black hats for looking at the canopies coming down. It appears we were not worthy enough at that point to even look at skydivers. I wish I could find those instructors now! Dom

Never trust the pilot even if he is good. It's your life not his! Dom

After seeing more of you in pictures. I would be happy to share the whip cream and strawberries with ya! HOT! Dom

keeping in mind that it will need it's four year and batteries. A fair price would be between $600/650.00. Dom

If the canopy that you are jumping is a SABRE 2, then you will be very comfortable with the Pilot, plus it is cheaper. A new Sabre 2 goes for about 1462.50 for a 210. A Pilot sells for about 1274.15 for a 220. How many jumps fo you have and how much do you way? Dom

I'm sure Ian will see this as well. Aerodyne has been around for a while. I have owned a Triathlon since they first came out. They have always had and I hope will continue to have great customer service. Dom

____________________________________________________________I had to get the front riser down to my chest to get a decent rate turn going, although it dropped me pretty fast. __________________________________________________________ I know we talked about this on Sunday. I feel it is worth mentioning that at a higher wing loading it does a lot better. I load the 150 at about 1.6 or so. It seems pretty even with the Sabre 2 at the wing loading. We will be getting a smaller size soon. We can compare notes again then. Bill is right this is a very good canopy! I have posted a review in the gear section. As soon as Sangrio ok's it take a look. What did you think of the slider? I really like the oversized tabs on it. Seems a lot easier to get it collpased and keep it collapsed. Dom

With the job I have, I get to jump just about every canopy sold in the U.S.. Not a bad reason to come to work everyday! Ever since I first jumped the new Pilot from Aerodyne, I have been hooked! This is simple one of the best canopies I have ever jumped! Let's start with the openings. They are simply beautiful, always soft and always on heading. Stowing the slider is a breeze. The over sized tabs are easy to find and takes only a second and let's you get back to the important things (like looking out for those guys with off heading openings). Once you are done with the slider the fun beings. Grab a toggle and go. Very responsive turns. I like to spiral mine until I can't fell my toes. This thing really turns! If you like to stay up there awhile just go to half breaks and take in the scenery. The Pilot feels very stable in this position and handles turbulence very well. I load a 150 at about 1.6/1.7 and when it is time to land pulling the front risers is a snap. Two words. Light pressure, no straining to pull them down. Build up some speed and get ready for a nice swoop! I like to bring mine in downwind. With the flair the Pilot has this is no problem. There is plenty of lift at the end to put me down with maybe a few steps to run it out. If you are not a swoopy kind of person no worries there either. Line it up and bring it straight in for a tippy toe landing everytime. Packing is very easy as well. Like any Z-P canopy it will make ya sweat at first but it doesn't take much effort to get it in the bag at all. Bottom line, this is an awesome canopy. For the first time buyer or the experienced jumper. It offers plenty of room to grow and plenty of fun along the way. With a price of 1359.15 USD it's also a great deal! Great job guys! Keep up the good work! I can't wait to get the Gemini and A-Max! Hope they are as fun as the Pilot!
