    a few words

Karin, your words hit it right on the head! Don't let the idiots get you down. This is I am sure one of the hardest times in your life. Keep your chin up and know that the whole Perris family is thinking of you! You may not be out there very much anymore put you are remembered by many as a very nice and sweet person who doesn't deserve the grief you are going through! BLUE SKIES Dominic Dom
  3. Lori, Why don't you put yourself in the camera pool? That is what I used to do if I didn't have a team for a big meet. the footage you get is always worth it, plus you get to participate in the "big game" Dom
  4. With 25 jumps you shoudn't be jumping any elliptical yet. This is the problem with Atair's marketing. I don't care what they say new jumpers don't need the extra worry and risks they will be taking with an Elliptical. Any elliptical! I wish Atiar would get with the rest of the industry and stop trying to sell newbies elliptical canopies. I guess the want of money will make you do anything! Dom
  5. ***Those that only say badly of that many experts only say well should be questioned about their packing ability or of those that made their pack job, or then which the true reasons that motivate them... I think that you have a low number jumps (25 ?) for to start to jump with cobalt, but when you have more jumps try one and you will get great satisfaction. When you jump a cobalt you need only the sure of a good and appropriate pack-job. __________________________________________________ HUH? Dom
  6. Brother, I thought at first I would never talk to you again. We where just starting to get to know each other pretty good then............ Don't worry about the video that was just a joke, and yes that was a FUN JUMP! I am glad you have pulled through. I can't wait to see you again and I still owe you a beer. Damn, maybe I shouldn't have reminded you about that, you might have forgot! Have you had any Napalm dropped on you lately? When Laurie told me about that I couldn't stop laughing! Seriously, I am glad you are going to be ok. What are your visiting hours over there? Maybe I will come and sneak you a SKYDIVER BLONDE. Seems I came across a free case the other day! OH, BTW if you get back in the air someday and do something like that again, I'll have ta kill ya! Dom
  7. Good luck to you guys Paul. Tell Josh, Chris and Pia and Eric(?) I wish them the best. Is Eric jumping with you guys? I know he is doing 8-way with B.C. and them. Go Mud Hens! Represent Perris well! Dom
  8. How long before Ivan sees this. Still a nice picture! Dom
  9. I recommended they hire her at SQ1 so I could have a chance at having sex with her. Then she took a job somewhere else! Dom
  10. ***Well, you need a reference to move on, to see if you're falling in place, how your track is etc. ________________________________________________ Not really true. You can tell if you are moving across the sky or not. I did a lot of tracking dives by myself when I first started. You can tell if you are going straight or if you are having problems with your body postion and such. Granted you can reference it a lot easier of you are with someone else, but you can still get the practice. Any bit of practice helps before you start jumping with others. Tracking is one the most important tools IMHO for newer jumpers, and for the saftey of the others they will soon be jumping with. Dom
  11. One word! TRACKING!!!!!!!!! It will save your life someday!
  12. Send me a demo and I'll let ya know! Dom
  13. I have seen it with my own two eyes. A close friend of mine named Mike Crawford. Had a nasty situation on his hands with two out. Long story short he cut away from a perfectly good main to a reserve that had maybe 3sq ft of canopy out behind him. So I guess he wasn't at terminal but 3 ft of canopy isn't going to slow you down that much! When he cut away he was somewhere between 2K and 3K. We all knew he was going to die and didn't really rush to get him. By that I mean instead of driving at 70 M.P.H over to him we only drove about 65 M.P.H. He hit a tree and then the ground. Broke up just about everything on one side of his body and a good protion on the other side. To our surprise he was alive and awake (barely) when we got to him. Put him in the ambulance and a little more then a year later and a lot of PT he was back in the air again. That was the day I started to really think there is a God. It wasn't Mike's time to go and all the little things kept him with us. Somebody or something was watching over that man! Dom
  14. Remember when Skydiving was dangerous and motorcycles where safe? Dom
  15. I'll be in this one. I am so happy. I hope you both make it. Mouth stay away from bulk heads this time please! Dom
  16. Well, if they bounce near the runway it will stop things for a while. I don't know who started this but I think it may malicious. One of the people that posted in Incidents claimed that they had 100 jumps and had a MAverick 210 as a reserve! Dom
  17. ***Yeah, I know, but parents have no choice but to bribe kids...it's just the way of the world. __________________________________________________ I wish someone had told my parents that. My "bribe" was dinner and a roof over my head. Dom
