  1. Could the USPA create a collective retirement program tax shelterd that can meet the skydivers lifestyle switching DZ to DZ but they are members of the USPA. It seems feasable. Another question. What kind of retirement or benefits the people that works for the USPA has??? Example: a skydiver with the Instructional rating working for dropzone could contribute $15 a week thru the USPA out his/hers own earnings that will go to a tax sheltered account. Any thoughts http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  2. Somebody will agree with me here when I say right after AFF or under a 100 jumps you start discovering that you could D-arch or have a more flat belly to earth position without compromising stability and reducing your fall rate, used to happend tome when I started HD due to lazy legs now I can pretty much keep up and dock without having to think about....practice different positions http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  3. What's your average speed? can you learned to fly your body first try to slow down showing more surface D-arching etc. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  4. Uhhhhhh No. The question is directed to proffessionals skydivers opposed to a weekend skydiver, meaning a person that makes his/hers living exclusively skydiving. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  5. How a professional or full time skydiver plan his/hers retirement? When you become too old to jump or god forgives an accident happens how an old timer spends his/her time? Are there any Dz offering retirement plans or any other tax sheltered retirement accounts? Is there a market??? Not planning to sell you anything just curious, and I realize that I might be opening a can of worms too. Thanks http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

  12. Same thing happened to me, with the difference that I had no intentions to swoop and the expectator was my girlfriend and other skydivers, That's how I learned that PLF really does not applied to a swooper rather just slide, anyway came out with only bruises and a hurt ego, they told me that from the spectators perspective looked like call 911 landing, I also slide 30 ft or so staining my rig to this date there are spots that remind me of that landing. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

  18. SICK OF THOSE HIGHLY PAID TEACHERS I, for one, am sick and tired of those high paid teachers. Their hefty salaries are driving up taxes, and they only work nine or ten months a year! It's time we put things in perspective and pay them for what they do...baby-sit! We can get that for less than minimum wage. That's right. I would give them $3.00 dollars an hour and only the hours they worked, not any of that silly planning time. That would be 15 dollars a day. Each parent should pay 15 dollars a day for these teachers to baby-sit their children. Now, how many do they teach in a day.... maybe 25. Then that's 15 X 25 = $375 a day. But remember, they only work 180 days a year! I'm not going to pay them for any vacations. Let's see...That's 375x180=$67,500.00 (Hold on, my calculator must need batteries!) What about those special teachers or the ones with master's degrees? Well, we could pay them minimum wage just to be fair. Let's round it off to $6.00 an hour. That would be $6 times 5 hours times 25 children times 180 days =$135,000.00 per year. Wait a minute, there is something wrong here!!! There sure is, Duh????!! Make a teacher smile, send this to him or her! http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  19. A Mr. Bill is something experienced & careless skydivers do to look cool *** The only irresponsable or careless thing in doing Mr. bill is landing one. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  20. I would not jumps with you if you don't have an AAD, I know lots of coaches who practice different disciplines that do the same thing, two canopies out due to a lack of altitude awareness in not nearly as bad as just bounce or try to deploy with not enough altitude, there has been a couple of times that I have jump with no AAD, some times backing up from a specific dive, how many times you end up with you team mates knee in your face for transitioning too close Freeflying, yes I did not loose consiousness But I could of, same with everything exits during tracking dives could get ugly too. For one bad scenerario you could think was due to a AAD I can give you a hundred good scenarios where your life will be safe by a AAD. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  21. and the most beautiful red I've ever seen. *** That's so true I feelt the same way after my first reserve ride, I had this fear of not performing well during a mal for my first 200 jumps good thing my cut away waited until I had 350, I found admirable what you did with only 25 jumps, good to have yoou here for the next one. 23. Sorry did not put 2 + 2 toghether.Slick the plug in here is the link http://www.geethree.com/DEMOSET.html go to the slick volume 4, check the picture in picture and split screen effects also I recognize some others, if I recall correctly is in C2 in the mexican cave jump right after or before that cli. Once again I don't use much Imovie but I think this slick transitions make a lot more easy things used to take a couple hrs on final Cut or Livetype. I really like both C1 and C2 execellent work, congrats Carlos Acosta http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
