Like you said is not recommended but if you decided to go that route you keep the same D-bag, that bag was designed for your specific rig the canopy will more likely fill in the void spaces inside the bag reducing the risk of the lines getting entangle, yes getting tighter closing loop helps, from my experience I had my second cut away and one of the reasons was the canopy was too small for the container also the lines in that canopy were HMA and no properly stowed that caused a tension knot (very nasty one). So be aware of the risks of going against manufactures recommendations. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

That is Harry Parker and when you deploy while flying a birdman suit you need to collapse your wings and be prepare to cut away just in case of a spinning mal, remember your hands do not reach the toggles until you unzip your arms off. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

First what kind of Job in Venezuela? ciudad ojeda is far from any dropzone I think there is one in MARACAIBO there is a pretty good one run by Giancarlo Trimanchi in LA GUAIRA you can see the add in Parachutist but is like 10 or more hours away. There is Skydive CLIFF in San Juan but they run out 2 or one cessna 182 be prepare to wait all day long for one jump since students have the priority. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

A teacher told me once " You can consider yourself successful when you have acomplish three things in life 1) choose your moral values 2) choose your career in life think about something you will do for free and make it your profesion 3) choose the person that will be your companion for the rest of your life. failure to acomplish any of these three decision can make you very miserable. Now like I heard in a movie once these are NOT rules, I like to see them more like guide lines, Jack Sparrow pirates of the caribean http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

as when you see someone who is pigeon chested (i.e. arched, chest pushed out) while tracking, with their arms sort of back but almost more out, and legs and straight, but still maintaining an arch not a dearch, and end up transitioning more to a delta, falling down, rather than moving away horizontally. *** I can think of more than a hand full of skydiver that have a problem floating because of how light they, are specially on tracking dives. They out run the rabbit and never seemed to come down. the others try to get the most of our tracking positions to no get under. It was said before somewhere, altitude gives the skydiver the lead, better be approaching a formation from up high than get low and try to move up. Tha applies to everything reallly openings, malfunctions etc. Again generalization mistake........ http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

I usually tend to hold back and not post, I believe your statement on how most RW people lacks of skills to track falls into the mistake I call (generalization mistake) you can’t blame a group of something, in this case “Lack of tracking skills” because of your perception of the subject, instead of understanding that there are good trackers in any aspect of skydiving FF or RW, not because most of skydiver X are with a wing suit makes skydiver X a good tracker or bad. My point is you can’t generalize in this sport. If you are willing to listen and learn from those with more time than you in a skydiving discipline you may be surprise how much you’ll learn. Beca, are you really going? I'm thinking about it I was there sunday night and monday during Wilma and it seems pretty nice, the only thing I still don't know is if I can park the trailer in airport grounds? I really did not like the RV Inn where I parked the last time at least not to leave the trailer there during the day and come back to it during the night, let me know. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

Due to an unexpected visit "Hurricane Wilma" I decided to leave West Palm Beach, since looks like it's coming this way, I put the shutters on the house and I will start driving north with my trailer, just wondering what dropzones north of West Palm Beach away from the hurricane have RV hooking or just a place to park the trailer and spend a couple days. I know there won't be much skydiving in FL this weekend due to weather but who knows.... I'm considering Skydive De-land, skydive spaceland, skydive willinston (never been there but looks like a nice little DZ) Skydive Tampa (also never been there) any other good places I could crash my trailer, meet some people. Intentional Cutaway Desired - Raven Micro 150 Concerns
BETO74 replied to mdrejhon's topic in Safety and Training
I did not read your entire post but I have a Micro Raven as reserve also loaded some what 1.25 had to cut aways, needless to say that canopy has save my life twice, two nice canopy rides and stood up landings, I tried altitude permiting to stall the canopy flare all the way and I could not do it, this is my second rig in my other rig (I don't like to call it second) I have a PDR113. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html -
