  1. Guys. Be careful when buying a camera that expensive a few months ago I got my PC 101 $960.00 on internet the place is located in New York After I made my order the guy called to say it was going to be a little bit more because the offer was for the European System (B.S), to what I accepted, after a month waiting for the camera, calling the guy hearing all kinds of excuses I cancel the order, after I cancel I got the camera the next day, with the bad luck that my neighbor received on my name. Now all those stores have a 10% charge when you return, So if I return the camera I was going to lose hundred and some dollars so I kept it. Now I rather go to Sears and buy over the counter, but if you must buy from Internet like is the case with us Skydivers do some research about the company and their Policies, call them and talk to a person make them feel responsible for your order, There is also a Certification that those site should have which I don’t remember how is it call. Anyway be careful. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

  4. Try coming from another country, have an accent and Skydive.I came to the U.S three years ago with my Bachelor and savings. I had no credit history or any Idea of the job market out there. Spended my savings in a year looking for jobs were I was overqualified but I needed the experience. I even had to stop skydiving for 9 months and sell my equipment. You think jumping out a plane is scary? try going for an job enterview in a Totally different Country totally different culture and everything!!!. Two years ago got an OK job, bought a new equipment, truck, house and now a new baby Boston Terrier (Delilah). Don't give up I used to apply 20 jobs at day thru internet, I used to collect those automatic letter you're talking about until there were too many. Shoot the target many times, one will hit close to what you want. Same philisophy apply to emergencies jump a lot increase the chances of having a mal eventually. Blue ones to you!! http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  5. I used to jump in a Drop Zone that was a freeflyiers Paradise, I have seen that and a lot more, How about a Tandem and two freeflyiers Head down Docking on the Student. I remember when the picture of a Tandem in Headdown position appeared in the Parachutist Magazine, freeflyiers at the Dropzone were doing that maybe a year before that picture was taken. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  6. I just got my PC 101 a month ago, I haven't try all the features and is already old. Sucks http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  7. My first canopy was a sabre, I think is a great canopy to learn under loads 1:1 or less, I used to love their openings they are relatively fast (that’s what I wanted at that point in time) it was enough risk for me to jump out an airplane to have a canopy that takes it's time to open and me wonder if I’m going to have an emergency? After a hundred jumps or so a Try a Safire 169 slightly elliptical and I fell in love with the soft openings, now I have a Croosfire and the openings for me are like safires (Soft). Now I love soft openings I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think you should take the time to learn your canopy. Sabres are great canopys and is a great begining in your canopy progression. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  8. That sucks about Icarus, any contact number or E-mail that I can write to? feel free to E-mail me. Thanks http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  9. I just got a Crossfire 159 and it needs a new set of lines, A friend gave me Skyworks phone number but Marc does not answer the phone. Can anybody help? my guess is any master rigger can do it but I heard Skyworks do all Icarus Canopies and this crossfire is modified. Safe landings is a MUST!!! http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
  10. I just got a Crossfire 149 and I love the glide is better than my Safire 169. More than radically overload my canopy, I rather try with different shapes of wings. I think is great to get the most of the canopy we fly before we try something else. Safe landings is a must.Quote
