Really bruised leg, all my internal organs suffer a great deal but there is nothing life threatening or major internal injuries (good news) hair line fracture in my 8 rib does not hurt just all my inside, I was very lucky to abort that swoop when I did but then again put myself in that position, the impact had me passing out without reason 3 times after I came out the hospital, I had to go back to do catscan of my brain and internal organs just to make sure. This is the difference between learning with a docil canopy on a lower wind loading than looking for a Katana higher W/L (see pictures attached) I'm not an agressive canopy pilot but this time I was deep in the corner and I though I could pull off a crosswind landing entirely my mistake and I didi walk out of it after going to ER twice they could not find anything broke but I keep passing out without reason due to the impact in my internal organs, is gonna take me 2 weeks two recover I'M ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES I know it could have been a lot worst, so think twice about your down sizing. I had a crossfire before I purchase the Nitron a 135 I was amazed on how short the recovery arc is It almost feels like a flare, The problem I see is the 1) you really don't need HMA lines unless you're flying professionaly or competing I had a cut away because of a tension knot and landed rear riser because of a tension knot. 2) The recovery arc is so short that I had to start my 180 degree turn at 300 ft that's pretty low. My Katana has plenty of dive and lighter front riser preassure also love the crossfire similar characteristics. My exact thoughts also if you were doing 300 jumps a year you would have over 600 jumps by now fairly current and decent amount of jumps if you are for the long term then there is no rush to down size so fast there is a lot of difference between a crossfire and an spectre, hell there is a lot of difference between a Nitron and a crossfire things happens fast at 1:4 wing loading, I'll sugeest to be a little more conservative and take your time to know the wing, conclusion do what ever you want. http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

To add to your post, It is possible to loose depreciate more than what is worth I know people here in Fl and California in 1980 that had to sell their property for under they bought it for, loosing money unlikely, but possible. Very simple answer when you're a student they teach you with enfasis on keeping a big arch and "X" with your arms and legs, that just to keep you from spinning and or end up flying your back. Now to slow down your freefall you need to de-arch kinda like that flat position you see on those skydivers, the more you are aware of your center of gravity while flying the better, I seen the XL team turning points while knee flying. I feel the same way but the reason why I'm so paranoid about my equipment is not because I think a skydiver may steal it is because of the many not DZ people hangging around like tandems and their family or just people who like to observe I think the possibility of a skydiver stealing is slim not saying it has not happened but I think is more likely to be an outsider.
