So since the gf and I split I have pretty much sorted my head out and it appears we could be great mates, but I want to know if anyone has lived in the same house as their ex, did it work and for how long?? "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Well thats it, Im back in the dreary UK and have to face 2 weeks of work as penance for 3 weeks skydiving. Ah well it was worth it!!! I got 53 jumps in the end having passed AFF and FS1. So I reckon that just about gets me a UK B licence

This could work the other way too, if you are known take drugs recreationally and there is an incident your involved in but you know yu havent had anything in ages it could benefit you too, especially if you come out of the test clean. THe Royal Navy has been drug testing people for a few years nwo and you would be suprised how many we still cathc. Admittedly its illegal in the navy to take it. I would be happy to know that the people who are instructing/packing/flying were in pretty reaonable shape to do their jobs cos its my life at stake. But i agree out all night on the booze and working with hangovers lack of sleep can be equally as harmful. And on that note the royal navy is also thinking about breathalising all watchkeepers prior to sailing to ensure they arent suffering from the ill effects of the night before. Im new to all this, but I have experience of one incident at Sebastian recently and I can tell you how the guy in question got over it if that helps. If not then no harm -
Well I been here shy of three weeks at Sebastian, done 50+ jumps and dont want to leave. I'm outta here tomorrow having had a fantastic time and on the big silver bird back to Blighty. Want to know peoples thoughts on what to do in the US between July and October, I may manage 2 and a bit months off and plan on a shoestring tour of US DZ's. Anyone got favourites worth a visit? Anyone know of any events worth going to at that time? Anyone got info on Chicago DZ's? Heard about something called 'Buring Man' and would like to know more. Just need a DZ with somewhere to pitch a tent and/or put my head after a hard day jumping and partying. LOL finally got the ex outta my system pretty much and the last three weeks helped loads with perspective so Im determined she aint going to hold me back now, and I can now move forward do what I want to do and live life again. M8 Im in the Rn best thing I ever did. SUcks occasionally but what job doesnt. Military aint for everyone but I'd go Royal Marine if i was in your shoes. Get to your local careers office and ask them to sort you a visit to Lympstone for a week to se life there. Whatever you do dont fall for the 'well i know you want to join as that but if you join as this then you can transfer later' line at the careers office its BS so stick to your guns. Jump 43 today and I qualified CAT 10, did my 4 way with Sinno, Mick and Mark from Sebastian, thanks to the guys it was a blast. We did 8 points on the 4 way, even if I did get brain lock on one of the moves. Ahem, had someone nick my tracking slot so had to improvise and adapt as 3 of us ended up going in the same direction, at least I know what the flat line on my protrack sounds like now. Ah well Im all set for the easter weekend boogey now. "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Zeemax trust me u didnt miss much yesterday!! Dam WEATHER HOLD blah!!! However, wind is good today skies are blue and I have a huge hangover.... nothing for it but to get in the air (but drink some red bull first) miss you man DZ isnt the same atm. Well Jump 35 today, had a fun jump first load prior to continuing FS1. One of the guys was leaving today so we did a hybrid he went FF i went belly. Had much fun on the way down. Waved of at 5k turned tracked, ditter went at 4k so I slowed and pulled. Waits 4 seconds lovely canopy and 6 or 7 line twists. So I pull em apart and start kicking out and after 3-4 seconds they aint comin so i double check im going the right way and I am but now the canopy (only sabre 170 loading about 1 ish) is starting to turn and I see visions of the mals video as hte horizon swings by, so Im like see ya and heh voila my first cut away and Im back under canopy at 1300 and just get back to the dz. But its ok they got the gear back and I kept the handles and I done 3 more jumps today already!! "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough." -
Aint doin USPA A licence cos it aint worth anything back home. So I'll do FS1 and then see where the xash is at. "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Bare Assets huh!! Sounds intrigueing. Well thats the consol jumps cracked now too - OMG more beer! Wasnt much to tell on the jumps for AFF we both got thro in one go with no repeats which was thanks to Sino,Uwe,Scott, Warren,Ian, Mark x 2. LOL my instructors freaked me on the ground at the end of level 2 cos they calmly informed me they both let go for 2000 feet, what was worse was I never noticed . Then I was on solo exits from there. Woot now all I gotta do is keep my barrel roll before i pull stable, just freaked myself out on my last consol by trying to barrel roll before my pulll to check above and ended up head down at 3500ft and trying to get stable again! WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO me n Zeemax cracked it today!!! I got 5 consols under my belt now too which is awesome, Zeemax got 2. So the skies the limit now YAY!! So fingers croosed for more good weather and Ill have FS1 cracked b4 i go home "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sun is shining, skies are blue - two jumps this morning YAY, next level is level 6, but..... theres always a but... winds have got up and now on hold yet again until they die down. With any luck and some good judgement we should both qualify AFF this afternoon 'IF' the winds drop daown and we can squeeze the three jumps in! WOOOOHOOOOO well skies cleared (kind of) manifeest started the ball rolling at 3.30 and by 5.30 both me and Zeemax have cracked lvl 3 Scariest bit was seeing the JM (Uve) appear in front of me and then look to the side and Ian waves with both hands and its like sh*t I'm on my own but OMG YAY I'm flying!!! Awesome loverly day no wind, blue skies at 7 am, manifest opens at 8 .............. crap where'd the cloud come from, not jumping again at the moment, God I hate the waiting. I could stand corrected but being british i was under the distinct impression Tony didnt have to put war to a house of commons vote but he is doing so because of the flak he will take if he doesn't. For any US doubters up there in the posts, the UK WILL stand shoulder to shoulder with the US as we always have and very probably always will continue to do so. BTW u should have seen tony in the debate this afternoon he kicked ultimate ass and so did the opposition leader who was soooo totally on his side with it all!! As for not comitting to war and tropp deployment, you would be too naiave an American to think that the US special forces were the first in Iraq, I can tell you now the SAS were "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."
